I think you can tie most QB busts back to distractions and work ethics. There are countless examples young talented QBs in the NFL that fall way short of expectations mostly due to getting caught up with money, fame, politics...you name it. In my opinion, There are some guys that just don't have the talent to become good at the positions yet keep working that become career backups or journeyman QBs, but the "busts" are the guys with talent that can't keep focused and waste the opportunity.

That's one of the main reasons I like Trubisky. He seems to have a lot of talent and a very strong work ethic. Lots of people talk about how he spends time after practice working with WRs and free time looking at tape. I just hope he continues that trend and stays modest.

The team probably doesn't want to hit the reset button completely again, just 3 years later.

There was never any way that anyone was going to come in and win the first two years. Nobody. Maybe with a lot of luck win by year three but obviously that didnt happen.
