It Follows
5/10. I am giving it an English teacher grade, should probably get like a 3/10 but there are legitimately worse movies.
Wholly uninteresting characters, supposed to be horror but is honestly just more confusing. Odd unexplained ambiguous time setting. Very little is actually explained.
Incredibles 2 - 3/5
I enjoyed it with the family, appreciated the music, loved me some Edna Mode. However, there's a pretty large plot hole that they forgot.
Just watched The Endless
Fucking good shit - 8/10
creepy sci-fi mindfuck movie. I recommend it to anyone that likes movies where you have to pay attention and is tired of 30 min cartoon action sequences.
Apparently there is another movie called Resolution that involves a lot of the same characters and same shit. Sounds like its real good too and worth watching first.
Anyway, movie is very well made. Excellent cinematography, score, and story. Acting is good, not great.
You mean the part where they forgot to add new plot that wasn't already in the first film?
I've had my eye on this one, I'll give it a shot.
rewatched Rogue One.
Still riddled with problems, but still effective none the less. By the end of the movie they can all be overlooked.
After rewatching The Last Jedi recently, it became more obvious than ever how much Rogue One is made for a mature audience compared to other Star Wars films. I really appreciate that they never lightened the tone of the movie.
its a straight action movie with flat, dispensable characters that explores nothing new in the star wars universe. Fine summer popcorn flick but forgettable like all the rest of them. Just disney squeezing the star wars tit.
Oh wait, everyone dies so I guess that makes it mature. Except the audience didn't care because the movie made no attempt to develop or connect with the characters. Nobody even remembers their names. They were just people doing stuff. No emotional core to that movie.
A lack of character development has nothing to do with the intended audience.
There are no ewoks, porgs, or silly jokes. And maybe most importantly, there is no sense of adventure or fun. The only thing resembling any sort of levity is the droid they travel with.
The movie is a war film, so...not really for children.
Skyscrapper is a decent summer pop corn flick. Just don't take it to seriously, as there are several highly unrealistic sequences that take place. Die Hard is much better
Forced to watch that Truth or Dare movie last night bc the 13 year old wanted to. Fucking stupid.
