This is what I mean about recycling old stuff. Charlie’s Angels was a average TV series. Why they thought a movie would work is beyond me. Just seeing the trailers told me the acting was lame and goofy. I'll check the trailers for Beautiful Day
Keep in mind they already made a bad Charlie's Angels movie. This was the second.

I saw Last Christmas. I give it a 6/10. If you're looking for a predictable Christmas movie with the soundtrack of Wham!, this is the movie for you. I saw the trailer and predicted the whole movie and it's basically how it all unfolded. I don't watch Christmas movies for their cinematic masterpiece, so I wasn't really disappointed. Emilia Clarke and Emma Thompson are pretty good in it.

I watched The Irishman on Wednesday night on Netflix. I had hoped to see it in theaters but watched it at home.

I thought it was very good, very well acted and a little bit of a departure for De Niro and Pesci in that the roles are more subdued than their past roles in Scorsese films.

I won’t go into details so as not to spoil anything although I don’t know that’s possible since it’s a story that we know how it turns out.

Slower paced than some of his other work. More deliberate. Bottom line is that I thought it was very well done and certainly worth watching and I believe people will enjoy it.

Some reviews called it Scorsese’s best. I wouldn’t necessarily go that far, but that’s no knock on it, given the body of work.

See it. You won’t be disappointed.

And I think a lot of people, like myself, are so sick of film makers that want to remind you in a movie that "girls kick ass too." I can't fucking stand that. They blatantly drop a line like that instead of just letting the movie play out. Some of these women filmmakers just think all men are idiots.

I saw it at home yesterday and I have to admit that it took me 8 hours to finish it. I started watching it after eating and ended up passing out. I woke up later and continued watching it. It is definitely a bit slower than I anticipated, but it's still a pretty good movie overall.

And that’s the problem and I think it’s a talent problem with writers. They also have to remember we aren’t paying $10+ to be lectured.

Saw Knives Out. It was a pretty good movie. I would give it an 8/10. I got mad early in the movie bc they show you the murder happening. I wanted the audience to stay out of the loop, but if you keep watching, it gets pretty interesting. Not sure if Daniel Craig's character was supposed to be funny, but he was funny and quirky.

Lol it really isn't bad. They show you that scene from the perspective of one person. There's lots of shit going on in the background that you don't know about yet until the end. But yea when I first saw that scene, I was kinda pissed. I mean, I wouldn't spend money to go to the movie theater and watch it. I'd just wait until it's out for streaming. But it was entertaining.

I still remember red fox even though it’s been gone for so long. They really did a good job recreating that area. I really liked the Irishman but you guys are spot on about it’s slow pace. The best part is seeing all the old school mob guys for likely the last time together. Awesome movie especially for Netflix movie standards. It isn’t a classic and won’t be where I will watch over and over again like I did with other movies like casino goodfellas etc

I had heard about this movie a few years back when they were begging Pesci to come out of retirement to do it.

I thought it was excellent.
I think Pacino may get an Oscar for his portrayal of Hoffa and Scorcese/Dinero could win for their direction.

I thought the music played went well with the scenes. I liked the reverse aging and aging effects.
I thought it was hilarious when Bobby Deniro is supposed to be in his 40's kicking ass outside the grocery store, but no effects could speed up his 70 year old kicks! I was laughing hard.

The movie brought a few thoughts regarding the mob and politics that I hadn't really known and really "paints" the picture of what happened to Hoffa and the Kennedy brothers.

I will watch again soon.

Saw the Irishman yesterday on Netflix and waited until today to give impressions so it would soothe in.

I am a fan of these actors and this genre. Big fan of Goodfellas and not so much of Casino. Casino isn't even in the ballpark of Goodfellas but let's not get into that. Just providing you some background.

The film was very long 3.5 hours. Watching at home that's ok since you don't have to sit thru one sitting.

I thought the movie was pretty good first hour and a half but lost steam fast 2nd half. Pesci was very good and Deniro sort of mailed it in IMO. At first I liked Pacino's Hoffa role but then I was like Pacino has been playing this same shtick in all his movies the last 25 years. It wasn't like Pacino was playing Hoffa but it was like Pacino was playing a caricature of Pacino! But I liked it after initial watch then was like **** this guy after thinking about it. The one scene where he says cocksuker 100 times in a minute was pretty silly.

The thing that totally didnt work was these guys trying to be 20/30 year olds. Give me a fucking break. I think if they had to do it again they should have just got younger actors to play these guys when they were younger. I mean its time to pass the torch to a new generation of stereotypical Italian - American actors isnt it!?!?

I saw that twitter post (link below) about the 75 year old Deniro acting like he's in his 20s beating up the grocery guy. That was dead on . It looked like some kind of SNL or comedy channel skit.

I think if this was made 20 years ago it could have been better. I guess I like it more for the fact that it's good to see this kind of movie these days since all the movies are superhero movies or some bullshit politically correct storyline. But if I was a guy who wasn't a fan of these guys or the genre and it was my first movie w/ these guys, I'd probably say what a piece of shit movie.

2.5/5 stars for me. Add some nostalgia in the rating and it's 3/5 stars.

It would lose the nostalgia factor passing the torch to the cast of jersey shore. Just saying the people geeked about seeing the irishman missed deniro Pacino peschi etc.

Saw the Irishman. Watched half on Saturday night and the rest Sunday afternoon. It was well done. Enjoyed it. Like someone else said, it's not one that I think will be a classic and can watch over and over But I'd probably watch it again sometime.

I did find the ending part with Hoffa pretty interesting though as to how they think it all played out.

Has anyone read the book "I heard you paint houses?" Curious as to how close it is.

It’s based off of it. People say the story is bs and the Irishman has never been proved to even murder someone. Only thing they know is true is he was real good friends with Hoffa and he did have mob ties to buffalino
