Been a minute since I posted in here, but I got out to see Nobody yesterday. Not much to the plot, but the action is awesome. If you liked the John Wick movies then you will like this one.

Don't laugh but have not seen a movie in the theater since March 6 2020. Before life as we know it changed. Can't wait to come on back! When all this is over. To go and do things.

I will say the bigger chains like AMC and Cinemark have done a great job at keeping people as safe as possible. IMO you’re much more likely to get sick from going to a grocery store than going to a theater.

I like Bob odenkirk quite a bit- is he believable in the role?

Edit- dude was a middling comedic player, but he somehow found a way to play Saul Goodman so well he earned a spinoff... never would jave thought that possible prior to breaking bad.
Dude has skills in the right roles.

Just finished Snyder Cut and really liked it. No more saving the stupid Russian family at the end! Yay!

Epilogue was whack though and Jared Leto SUCKS.

I felt the same way. Thought the Snyder Cut was phenomenal (for a super hero movie anyway). Shit was excessively long though because DC had too much to flesh out still. I didn't mind the epilogue, and I think this version of Joker was far better than Leto's last attempt. It would be pretty sweet if that leads into a Flashpoint movie.

Flashpoint was great, and I also loved "Apokolips War".
If you haven't seen it yet it is absolutely worth the time.

...on the Snyder cut- there were several more nuggets from "the dark knight returns" in that cut. My favorite was the ridiculous bat tank batman was standing on.

Being repetitive has been dc probably biggest problem. Every new Batman we have to regurgitate his parents dying for a half hour. Focus on the story that has never been told before. We get it Wonder Woman saves people. We didn’t need to waste 20 min on her stopping a bank bombing. Cyborg story should have been told before justice league, as well as aqua man. That’s where marvel kills it. They build something with individual heroes that lead to a bigger movie with all of them together. We don’t have to sit there for two hours to get to the point

Yup, that's how I felt too. Cyborg, specifically, would've been the best lead-in to Justice League. They're trying too hard to catch Marvel without putting in as much work.

I love how marvel completely skipped Spiderman's origin this time around.
It could be argued that they skipped hulk given the Edward Norton hulk was so far back.

Not having those 2 origins jammed in my face during the avengers movies made me enjoy them infinitely more.

They should have done the same for bats.

Although I will say man of steel handled Kent pretty well.
Short flashbacks that focused on why he stayed under the radar rather than an all encompassing origin.

I don't know who was the dipshit at Netflix willing to put up literally millions of dollars to let Eric Andre make a movie, but god bless them.

Godzilla vs kong.... meh.
The kids and conspiracy theorist storyline of course was jammed in there for the kids... but I can't imagine a kid enjoying anything about it.
Seemed like it was a choice they made to fill time after they ate up cg budget.

Not awful enough to be fun-bad..just absolutely forgettable.

Big fan of Fincher's work. Behind on movies in general, which frosts my ass, as I used to be a serious movie guy. Anyway...

Seven years later, I just watched Gone Girl...not quite sure where to rate it. Holy shit the crazy...

Looking forward to this one. My brother said it was hilarious and he's one of the few people i trust when it comes to comedy.

If you are into Eric Andre's "comedy"....you will love it.

And while Lil Rel & Andre play off each other very well throughout...I have to admit it's Tiffany Haddish that absolutely steals the show.

I still thought it was a lot of fun, but definitely not as good as the ones leading up to it. They tried a little too hard with the filler stuff, but no one really watches kaiju flicks for the humans...so whatever.

King of All Monsters will go down as my favorite of these reboots and also the last movie I will ever see at Navy Pier's IMAX as they closed it forever last week.

I liked it for what it was. I agree with @Jamais Vu though that king of monsters was better.
