Going to watch Moon tonight.

Legend was an okay movie. The last half wasn't as strong as the first half, and the ending was a bit weak. Hardy was good, but couldn't help hamming a bit. Probably hard not to, playing two characters.

Didn't watch the trailer Aussie posted above, but the movie sounds interesting.

Very fun movie. The action scenes were top notch and were pretty good at being scary.

Also, one of the few movies worth being in 3D.

Thanks for the recommendation of Moon. It was very good. I even went ahead and watched the director's second feature Source Code. Interesting idea, but even if one is able to suspend disbelief, there were just too many ways to go with this film, and I feel the money involved forced a happy ending. It wasn't his story this time.

I see he has just done the new Warcraft movie. Not sure what to think of that.

0 interest in Warcraft(as I assume most have). There's this small but possibly growing problem with directors who got their start within the last 10 years or so, giving up their relatively original and creative ideas/films, and doing big franchise adaptations.

Duncan Jones is an example with Warcraft. Rian Johnson who had interesting concepts with Brick and Looper, is doing a Star Wars film next. Ryan Coogler who did Fruitvale Station and Creed(both not original of course) is about to to a Marvel film. Colin Trevorrow who directed the fantastic indie film Safety Not Guaranteed, followed it up with Jurassic World and is also in line on the Star Wars train. Hell even Ava DuVernay who started with good character films was recently in talks to do Wonder Woman for a while.

It makes me appreciate guy like Jeff Nichols, Steve McQueen, and Jeremy Saulnier even more. Because for the time being at least, they're giving us nice relatively original stuff, and not getting sucked into this comic book craze we got going on now. More Looper and Shame, less Marvel and DC please.

Plus we already got directors like Zack Snyder to take on these trash adaptation projects.

The VVitch...10/10...great acting, cinematography, score, and atmosphere. Having said that people like Spartan will hate it, it takes place in the 1600's so there aren't any car chases or explosions...and it wasn't made my Zack Snyder.
Didn't see it in theater but have seen it. Didn't hate it but I wouldn't give it as much praise as you do. Kinda liked it. It's a slow burn with enough to keep you engaged. Very weird ending anyone viewing can put their own spin on. Looked to me as if she went the 'if you can't beat them, join them' route.

Naked Among Wolves. It's about a concentration camp in WW2. A prisoner brings in a suitcase with a 3 year old child inside and the "capos" in charge do their best to hide him before the SS find him and kill him.

7.5/10

I saw the 1963 German version many years ago. Good story that worked well for a film. Well worth a watch. Can't speak for the latest, but I may give both a view next time I have a chance to marathon movies.

Watched '71 last night. Did not live up to the previews. The story just lacked the tension that should have existed for a British soldier trapped in the wrong areas of Belfast during that time. The movie was shot well and the main actors were good...the story just lacked.

Saw the sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding. 7-10. Not quite as good as the original but was enjoyable and you will like it if you liked the first one. The young girl who played Tula's daughter is a very pretty girl.

I am Wrath 2.7/5
yes, it's been done before ad nauseum. Chris Meloni makes it a good watch though.

Good not great movie but Cage is always great.

*Fixed*

Last time he was good in a film was probably when he played the terminally drunk guy in Vegas

I've never heard of the movie "The Trust" so I looked it up on IMDB. In the credits I see this:

Lisa Gardner ... Handjob Girl

Way to go Lisa.
