I thought the violence was a positive. It was gritty and realistic.

The wife loved the shack book so I took her to the movie.
A little slow and quiet but a pretty good movie over all.
Very interesting take on the trinity...
Religious a bit... but more on forgiveness and its personal benefit.
I would not recommend theater but a good watch at home.

I haven't seen it, but I did witness a discussion at work between two people that had seen the movie and disagreed to the point of having to separate them.

The depiction of God as a black woman has some people pretty freaked out.

Why Cowspiracy sucked

The entire documentary was a sales pitch for why if you eat beef, or any meat for that matter that you do not care about the planet earth. It was a sales pitch for everyone to go vegan as if that somehow would resolve all of our issues. It missed the glaringly obvious fact that there are too many people on this planet, and no matter what we eat we are such a large population that we can decimate any resource we set our minds on decimating. It did point out the obviously large costs of farming cattle and the effects that is having on our environment. I do not think beef should be cheap. It should be a luxury meat, but to say that we shouldn't consume beef is just stupid. Plus the commentator was annoying in the way he delivered the entire documentary, just bad film making in general.
