Agreed, the guys wioth the little sticks have to pick up again but the biggest problem is between the pipes. Emry played a good game tonight but for the season him and Crawford are at the bottom five in the legue in Sv% and GAA, thats BOTTOM FIVE!!! Anyone can rant and go on about the defence or the return of Toews but we get nowhere with the problem between the pipes. IF, BIG IF we were to get qan average Sv% out of either of these two of 920 for the remainder of the season there is a chance. There is not one team left to play we ahven't beaten before...somone has to put something up someone's ass to get Crawford moving at least make the first round and then Bowman will hopefully open his squinting eyes in the off season and get a decent man between the pipes...

You ever bother to check out Neimi's stats in the playoffs? Perticuarly in the Finals. Just wondering.

2.63 .910 combined.

During the Finals over 3 and under .900

Your team plays defense in front of you. If they don't you lose. Whether you are good or not.

The Sharks was his good series. Then again it's the Sharks and they ALWAYS choke.

During the finals both teams goalies pretty much sucked.

His numbers indicate that it takes a team effort, just like tonight. Soft goals are one thing, but bad team defense kills. While it may not allow a ton of shots it allows more "quality shots" when it's poor.

Forwards clogging the blue line, coming back to help, with D men being responsible in their own end.

If the team plays like tonight either of our goalies are more than capable of winning.

Can't disagree with anything here.

I can agree with myself that you're an asshole, though!!

Yes I am!

And unfortunately with all the talent this team has NOT BEEN capable of making consistant performances like tonight for ANY stretch through out this enitre season. 199 GA's speaks for itself and most definitely is not the GOALIE to blame for it all.

St. Louis was playing like shit, two great goalies were losing pretty consistently. What do they do, hire Hitchcock one of the most responsible "team play" sometimes "trap" coach's out there. He instilled team D and wow they are 30-11-3 I think since he took over. Do they have more talent than the Hawks? I say no, on either side of the ice. Goalies might have a slight edge but the Hawks take the edge on D and top 6 BIG time. Bottom six are pretty even.

Most of us have said it all year, play like a team on both sides of the ice, they win most of their games. Don't and they will lose as many as they win.

Hopefully without Toews they are gaining desire to prove they are good enough, and continue to show it with their play on the ice.

I voted yes a couple of days ago, more out of I want them to make it, then and unqualified yes. But if they continue playing like they did tonight and we get Toews back soon, we will.

Spoken like a true bandwagoner... While the Hawks goaltending is not the best in the league, it's not the worst.

Save percentage is a horrible stat trotted out by people who have no fuckin' clue as to what it takes to be a goalie.

GAA is a team stat.

The only thing that matters in the end is WINS.

Grimson, I also think they will be in the market for a new goalie at the end of the season. They will trade one of the core, and McDonough will still suck.

true, though I remember being in a league with a guy who had a 1.78 GAA and a .875 SV%, and I had a 2.6 GAA and a .914 SV%

and this guy gets all the credit.

The off season will be interesting but I don't think they will trade any of the core for some reason. There are some UFA's available as well.

McDonough will always suck either way.

This off season will be dictated by where Rocky wants the payroll number to be at plain and simple.
