This off season will be dictated by where Rocky wants the payroll number to be at plain and simple.

actually I think it will be partially determined by where the Salary Cap goes with the CBA negotiations.

Wheres the guy yapping about the goalies been? I'm sure he'll come slithering back in after the first loss.

Fire up the bandwagon.

Emery got some help from the posts today, but it doesn't matter. What matters is that he got the win.

Can't argue the point about the salary cap. I think the 7.? million being paid for 2 guys no where W Madison St has stung ole Mr Wirtz.

Sure but one of those contracts is gone. I bet the other will probably be bought out.

And I believe NEXT YEARS Salary Cap coming down was what I was referring to. Not the curren't where I believe you are right th 5 mil -with the trading of Oduya, is making up for some of it.

Olesz will get called up for the playoffs, go a point per game on the third line (Bolland's line) everyone will love him, and then he will get sent back down to Rockford for next season.

Purple?

They have 73 points. I don't think anything less than 95-97 gets them into the playoffs. That means they need to go 11-7 or 12-6 over this last stretch. I've looked at this several times, and I just cannot see where those wins will come from.

I don't think they do it.

Should have started this thread earlier, jackass.

I give all credit to Bowman's man running that practice. The hawks are playing a different game and reaping the benefits of it. Since then I would like to change my vote to "If they keep playing like this not only will they make the playoffs but you will not be able to count them out for a deep run"

actually I think that D scheme was changed in the last part of the 9 game losing streak.

It's nice not having to read all the "this team sucks we aren't making playoffs fire the coach trade the core" posts.

Right now as long as Q kept doing what Bowman told him I don't care if he is the bench boss next season or not. But for me I never suggested trading the core. Never wanted to move anyone but Bickell but he's pulled his head out of his ass and received real coaching and now I'm okay with Bickell. Brunette is a guy I don't want to see next year though, just doesn't add enough.

Smith helped the PowerPlay cuz obviously Kitchen isn't great at it, so i give him credit for that, but the better team D is most liklyl Havi/Q as RK referenced. They changed it up at the end of the streak and are now really getting into a groove in it.

I think at this point if we can go .500 the rest of the way we should be in. Honestly seeing were the teams are seeded, I would like us to stay 6th, cause I think our chances are better making the second round if we got to play San Jose or the Yots.

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
Out of the 10 teams vying for a playoff spot right now, we just have to keep pace with the 2nd worst to make the playoffs--basically, whomever's in 9th place.

Honestly, that shouldn't be too hard to do--even missing 3 players.
