:lmao:As in a second tier QB such as Dak Prescott,A Rodgers,Joe Montana, Tom Brady, etc? Kills me all of the people that are hellbent on the best qb's are taken early theory.

The exception proves the rule.

What's even more amazing is the people that cherry pick a few examples to make it sound like drafting an elite QB in later rounds is common place.

Dak was pretty hyped but had some issues off the field. Rodgers was the number one projected pick and it was a shock he fell to a late first. Montana had the resume but the combine wasn't refined like it is now. Scouts were pretty crappy. Brady just looked like every other average scum qb and had a dad bod.

Unless there is a consensus top QB; Peyton Manning (don't fall for the Ryan Leaf hype). Drafting a qb in the 1st rnd is 50/50... not automatic. This years qb class is looking like all 2nd tier qbs so waiting past the 1st rnd could net success, it really is a roll of the dice.

Amazing 1st rnd QBs since 2000

Since 1992

Using a first-round choice on a quarterback is a 50-50 proposition. For every Peyton Manning, there is a Ryan Leaf. For every Donovan McNabb, there is an Akili Smith. For every Drew Bledsoe, there is a Rick Mirer. No wonder front offices sweat and panic when confronted with thoughts of using a first-round choice on a quarterback.

And drafting one in the second is a 30-70 proposition
drafting one in the third a 20-80
etc etc

That is the most depressing list I have ever seen.

It would be nice if one of Bush MJQ step up and show they can be our starting SS next year. Then go draft sign one if the huge crop of great FS.
