"Derrick can't win by himself," Rodman said. "That series was a bad situation with Tom Thibodeau. He should've done something about Rose and the other guys. Boozer should've stepped up big-time. Noah should've stepped up a lot.

"Derrick Rose is like Michael Jordan when he first came in the league. He's shooting the ball 25-30 times a game and trying to carry a team. It doesn't work that way. Until Scottie Pippen came and then you have John Paxson and Steve Kerr and Craig Hodges, you need those people who are going to have those intangibles for you."

Rodman pointed to Thibodeau sitting Boozer and Noah for fourth-quarter stretches of a series the Heat won in five games as an example. Boozer just finished the first year of a $75 million contract. Noah signed a $60 million extension before last season.

"When you pay someone $125 million dollars and you're not on the floor, that's a problem," Rodman said. "Boozer is a great guy. I love Boozer. I love Noah. But if you're getting paid that much money and you're sitting on the bench at the end of games, that is a big problem. They should've stepped up."

Thoughts???

He's not wrong. Rodman has good knowledge of the game.

He's totally right. No one can win by themselves.

I blame Boozer much moreso than Noah. But Rodman is absolutely right.
They were both injured and playing far below their normal levels of production. Hopefully that doesn't happen next time.

They didn't play well, including Rose, he shouldn't get a free pass. He should have passed the ball more. His teammates are in the NBA for a reason. In the last two wins of the postseason, Rose didn't take over 21 shots, so maybe the ball should have moved more before we start blaming players Rodman...

If Rose played any differently, these games wouldn't've even been close.

Rose is 0% to blame.

Wait...where's the part where Rodman blames the refs? Just sayin'...that has to be somewhere in that conversation...

I don't agree with that at all. While I for one might have been too hard on him...he deserves some of the blame. Boozer and Noah both deserve a lion's share of the blame but Rose is not someone who doesn't deserve blame.

He deserves blame because he didn't pull a miracle out of his ass and win the series by himself?

I blame thibs the most the plays he called on offense were terrible. I rarely saw boozer posting up bosh and anthony, he should've never sent noah out on a pick and roll with rose cuz the heat didn't respect noah. Or roses passing abilities. They just trapped rose.

I stand by the stance that there wasn't a single player that can stay infront of rose on a consistant basis on the heats roster. He should've put him in a lot more isos.

I think a lot of people were to blame at different points of that series.

Rose for taking shots he didn't need to take.

Thibs for calling stupid plays at the end of games [iso for rose against LBJ]

Korver for not knocking down open shots

etc.

Why would you put Rose in isolation when he can't effectively drive past Lebron and the team wasn't consistently hitting outside shots, especially the guys who are paid to do so?

Lebron kicked Rose's ass in isolation plays...its up to other guys to step up at that point, and there was nobody else who could create anything off the dribble.

He deserves blame because he didn't play as well as he should have and could have. He barely shot 30% from the field in the final 4 games.

I feel he can. He certainly wasn't gonna be able to do it with a pick cuz the heat were trapping rose.

Maybe thibs should run the offense through boozer. And let rose take the outside shots if they doubled off him. Seeing as how roses J is so good according to some of you guys.

Rose shot 20% from outside in that series...that plan wouldn't have worked either...you know what would work? The "Get Rose some help Plan"...that would be very effective...lol.

Lebron was the main reason Rose struggled to get to the basket...and he got in Rose's head too.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

This was the tnt post game show highlights of the final game. In it at about the 4:40 mark. Barkley says the same thing I said. Why did thibs continue put rose in situations where he would need to pass over 2 6'10 guys. He said this cuz more often than not, rose was in a pick and roll with either boozer, noah or gibson. And the heat trapped him.

Rose routinely got past james, he just missed a lot of shots that he normally would make. The heat just didn't respect the bulls past rose.

This might be true. But this is how the bulls won. Put the ball in roses hand and let him make a play. It worked against miami in the regular season. I also feel the bulls were young and thus overwhelmed by the situation. Nobody really expected them to get that far that fast.

And I personnaly thing they have plenty of offensive firepower. They just don't have enough plan B and C plays.

The championship bulls would run an offense and then be able to adjust according to how the defense played them.

I only saw something similar one time during the 11 playoff run. When the pacers PG was playing rose 90 feet. And rose used that agression against him and backdoored him for a dunk.

I really blame thibs more than anyone else. And then I also think its the bulls age. And the fact that miami came into that series with a chip on their shoulder.

Rose shot 6% from the field when guarded by Lebron James...he didn't get past Lebron routinely. Lebron got to his head. He trash talked Rose and was one of the main reasons Rose was depressed after that series...
