I don't know, I trust this staff a little more than any in recent history to evaluate players and not the stuff that does not matter like draft status or salary or even experience. We can look no further than our Left Tackle, he by all accounts earned the spot. I would imagine that if they had drafted a center like Schmitz and he showed promise they might have actually started him.

It is part of the ammended rules for the 22 season.
