Someone obviously doesn't look at CapGeek? That's as decently accurate as it gets.

Did he propose trading Kane on the Score today to make Cap room? WTF? Kane has some of the best hands in the world, probably top 5 passer in the world.

At what point is Campbell tradeable? There is the money for 2 good defensemen.

Or what point would a buyout be considered which could save approx 5 mill./ yr

Campbell's role is a difficult one to replace. A puck moving Dman in the video game world an Offensive Dman. The top 2 are Boyle and Campbell in that order. Chara gets an honorable mention at it but really he's more of a Two way Dman similar to Keith. Chara has a great shot and is great defensively but he isn't a genius with the puck. Buff, Buff is going to de-throne the both of them and he's next contract after this 5 mil one might be just Special person in size.

I wonder if he added salaries instead of cap hit. It doesn't make it any better because it would just change the article from deceptive to ignorant. The difference between Keith's and Hossa's 2010/11 salary and their salary cap hit would almost make up the $6M difference between Rozner's number and reality.

It amazes me that guys who earn their living reporting on sports know less than most casual fans. Most people work a minimum of 8 hours a day. Assuming sports reporters work as many hours as the rest of us - WHAT THE HELL DO THEY DO FOR 8 HOURS A DAY - 5 DAYS A WEEK????

Motivation is driven from the heart and not a paycheck. Everything of Roz's that I've read shows he's not a fan, but rather it's his job to cover the team.

HIs motive was to prove the Hawks will have a hard time staying under the Cap this summer. It was not a lack of not doing his research, it was more or less a slap to most Hawks' fans face, his assumption is all Hawks' fans are casual fans and did not think they would go to capgeek and check out the numbers.

Then he's even more of an idiot than I previously thought.

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, there may be a little more to this article than meets the eye. I don't trust Rozner any more than I trust McDonough. First some background.

Rozner spent 10 years(1987-1997)as a Cub beat and Cub feature writer for the Daily Herald. Care to guess who worked for the Cubs from 1983 to 2007?

Think back to the death of WWW. In the aftermath, it was Rozner that put forth the idea that Rocky should hire McDonough. Do you believe Rozner came up with that on his own or was he sourced?

After Tallon was whacked, Rozner clearly went out of his way to shit on Tallon. It became almost comical.

And now this shit article. With this nugget:

It doesn’t mean you want to trade Patrick Kane, who’s undoubtedly the Hawks’ most skilled offensive player. But he plays hard about half the time and his dedication to the game will remain in question until he grows up.

Still, it’s hard to imagine the Hawks offensively without Kane, and Hawks officials privately say they wouldn’t consider trading Kane at this time in his career.

At this time? Do I think the Hawks are considering trading Kane? Absolutely not.

But perhaps one of the lines from the article needs editing.

Still, it’s hard to imagine the Hawks offensively without Kane, and Hawks officials privately say they wouldn’t consider trading Kane at this time in his career but John asked me to float this article.

I'm also pretty sure theres something call a No Trade Clause involved as well. Then again facts always escape the ******.
