Delgado was a top 50 prospect, but his stock has dropped. Delgado alone is a really, really good return and better than what I had hoped for.

Well that would fit since he has Lee as #2 max. A 22 year old that is close with the upside of a #3 starter is a pretty nice haul.

How many people thought the Cubs would get a top 100 prospect for Dempster? I was throwing out the Beltran deal as a comp and this is what the Cubs got and I am shocked.

Well the rumor was the Cubs were asking for Zach Lee. Delgado is clearly a step down from Lee, but a lot of people were saying that the best the Cubs could get was B/B- prospects or lower. Delgado, while his stock has fallen, is better than that.
