Yeah. I don't get why the Cubs would go after Delgado when he's already been in the major leagues this year. So now he'll be AAA talent. I thought they wanted some younger pitching talent.

I think Zach Lee would've been better. But whatever, just my opinion.

Actually... Hoyer has stated all along he would prefer someone that's MLB ready in both deals involving Dempster and Garza. A young 22 year-old with good upside that has 24 MLB starts is an excellent haul... and fits those lines incredibly well. However, the news of people suggesting the deal isn't done is disheartening.

It smacks of an agreement between the teams, but now Demp is posturing for an extension or the like.

Yeah it appears the Braves and Cubs have agreed on Dempster and cash for Delgado. The question is whether Dempster will or will not accept and of course the commish office approving the deal since cash is involved.

Don't know how I feel great value but i don't like Delgado. He only has 2 pitches no real breaking balI don't know how long he stays a starter. Maybe player development can help him devlope another pitch or two. If he does that he would be a steal.
