Has anyone read the Trib the apst few days. I believe it is Phil Rogers that has been proposing trades and thinks Soriano plus $22 million (leaving the new team with $14 mil) would get the Cubs three solid prospects including an alleged top 50. :smh:
Wow... Rogers showing why he needs to simply stick to propaganda write-ups, over-hyping prospects, and writing details about games. If that was all it would take, then Soriano would have been gone a month ago. He would be a far superior option to Carlos Lee, who may end up getting traded twice this year. I don't think any team will take on more than $2-3M per for his remaining contract, and $1M or so for the rest of this season. That's at best $7M that the other team would pick up... and then the Cubs might get a team's 6-10 spec that's more of a dropping flop than any real upside.
