Yeah there has to be more to this because if a guy had a sore elbow I don't think the solution would be lets have him pitch a few times each week for an inning.
Reed continues to get screwed.
This is strange. I don't think the lefty closer thing is an issue as long as he has good stuff but I agree that if he's hurt he shouldn't be pitching, he should be recovering. It's like the Sox just got brain damage.
I think someone ought to look into Sale's pitchf/x over the past few starts. I am wondering if perhaps the Sox saw something that indicated fatigue/risk of injury with Sale in his most recent start(s). I have no idea what that would be, but I am just spitballing trying to come up with an answer for this perplexing move.
I agree that it doesn't make sense. I am trying to make sense of this myself. This definitely doesn't bode well for his future as a starter.I get that for sure. but why come out with this elbow injury? the reason for his move to the BP is elbow soreness. <<<<< that makes no sense. the move should be DL not pitching in closing situations.
