When transformers and stuff blow up during a hurricane, it is really eerie. The way they light up the sky coupled with the sounds they make are pretty wild. I remember when Charlie went through, shit was blowing up left and right (granted not as big as this one). But it seemed like an alien invasion outside. That is the closest thing I can compare it to.

I was in Ft. Myers for Charlie, that was a much, much stronger storm than anything the U.S. has seen since 2005. It should have hit Tampa, but veered in unexpectedly up the mouth of Charlotte harbor.

I meant transformer explosion wise. Charlie was nasty for sure, but it was pretty narrow and came through super fast.

It seemed like it. Really surreal. The sky was lighting up blue, green and all sorts of weird colors. And the transformers were making this sound I can't describe in a post. It was really weird.
