The more I think about it the more I like our chances:
</p><ul class="bbc">[*]Boston has only 2 players in the top-10 for goals in the playoffs, Chicago has 4. Pitt also had 2. It's going to be a bigger task for Boston to contain us than it was for Pittsburg.[*]IMHO Crawford has been playing at least almost as well as Rask--if not as well. Comparing soft goals in the playoffs, Rask's was a lot worse. Crawford has been keeping us in it enough that it puts the onus on the skaters to get it done-which they have been.[*]Our defense has a lot of speed. Keith brought it. Hammer Brought it, Leddy Brought it, Oduya brought it. I don't think Boston can match that aspect. Plus, if they're on, they're on. There's a reason we, and not Boston won the Jennings. If Crawford and Rask are relatively equal then by proxy, our defense is tougher.[*]While Shaw and Bickell have been playing physical in the "dishing out" department, and Hammer is definitely willing to sacrifice himself, one thing I've liked about guys like Kane and Saad is their taking hits to make plays. If they keep that up Big, Bad Boston's physical edge will be nullified.[*]Even though Toews and Stalberg have been invisible more often than not, if you look hard enough they're doing everything right in a support role. That's a good thing. If you can't score make it easier for us to score or harder for them to score.[/list]In no way shape or form does this mean it will be easy; I still think they'll be a tougher nut to crack than Detroit, but I think it's well within possible that we can take this home. We just have to play our game, as RK said.</blockquote>
You can spin the stats any way you want. I can play this game too. Bruins have 6 players with 4 or more goals, the hawks have 4. Bruins have scored 50 goals, hawks 47 (bruins played 1 less game). Bruins defensemen have 15 goals, the hawks D has 5 or 6.
Rask has faced the penguins, an elite team. Crawford has not had to face an elite offense yet.
