I doubt that most in ATL were banking on Ryan long term, Justin would have gotten a year at most to develop and would have made more sense than Kyle Pitts. Either way, it will be interesting and irritating to see how this all plays out over the next couple months

Falcons were not trying to rebuild. At the time the thought process was Ryan would excel with Jones, Ridley and Pitts and they would be shooting for last hurrah.

However Jones was traded and Ridley had his mental health issues so it ended up just being Pitts and Ryan sputtered.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. UCLA Bruins
But way back in the day the Steelers released two other HOF quarterbacks they drafted, John Unitas and Len Dawson.

I know that is out of context......just a little Steelers trivia
That's why the Steelers were the Steelers for the first 40 years of their existence.

I need an update on those Vegas odds gents...

Seems pretty logical as per your article:

Fields will likely require significant draft pick compensation to pry away from the Chicago Bears, and he hasn’t played especially better than Pickett in his three seasons as Chicago’s starting quarterback.

Why trade for a reclamation project when you already have one?

Thank goodness I knew better than to take your advice 🥶
my advice was that fields staying a bear was at +200 and if you knew for sure it would happen to bet it and triple your money. lets hope not everybody thinks he is worth less than kenny pickett LOL but if so easy win for you i guess?
