Multiple teams makes me more confident in a better return that some of us have thought and projected.

Howard is leaving in 2020, if the Bears can get a draft asset for him before he leaves and then replace him in free agency and the draft with a better fit than that is the logical move.

He is more expensive, has less control [1 year], and is coming off a bad year. So, my gut says it is unlikely, but when multiple teams are involved who knows.

Multiple teams is what is interesting. I still think Howard is a very good RB, when in the right system. My thought process around Howard was if they did trade him, maybe the team looks to improve their drafting postion and move up a round.

If this was true then the Bears would have traded him last year. Clearly the Bears:

A. Think he has some value or he wouldn't have had 200+ carries for them last year.
B. Think he's a square peg in a round hole.
C. Want more than a ham sammy for him.

If Bears trade Jordan Howard they will have a cap hit of of 62,000 and a cap savings of just over $2M. My bet is they move him in next few weeks. No idea what return would be
