I'm sure he wouldn't shut him down, but surely he'd be able to do something against him. Again, he is the greatest perimeter defender we've all ever seen. I'm sure he could force Lebron into a few tough games at least.

Big difference from that and saying the Bulls would sweep this Heat team because Pippen shuts down Lebron, I don't think any one person can shut Lebron down...he shuts himself down...

I'm pretty sure we would not sweep the Heat even if we had Scottie. I do think we would win the series though. Lebron is like MJ, Kobe, and other great scorers. You hope to hold them to about 20-25 points.

lebron is Magic Johnson with more athleticism.

He would give Pippen problems, but Pippen is an excellent defender so I don't have a doubt that he would figure lebron out and take away the things he likes to do. His complete lack of a post game would help Pippen because he's a great perimeter defender.

The Bulls could replace Deng with Pippen and they would beat Miami in 6 games.

If Pippen in his prime was on this team, Miami wouldn'tstand a chance...If you think they cryed before, some of miamis players would probabely be put on suicid watch and admitted to there local hospital...Lebron James would completely be shut down and Pippen would probabely dunk on him harder than he did Patrick Ewing in game 6 of the eastern conferance semifinals 1994...Lebitch would probabely go to a sexchange clinic and have gender reaasignment surgery and join the WNBA if he had to face Scottie Pippen in his prime...It insults me to here Lebron and Scotties name in the same sentence....Lebron is no Scottie...Not only that , but the team as a whole would be much better because Pip made the players around him much better....It would be a sweep in the Bulls favor..Even of Rose wasn't on the team, Scottie could play pointguard as well as smallforward and we would still beat those Miami queers....

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rhd0ZFrb7y0]YouTube - ‪Scottie Pippen dunks on Patrick Ewing‬‏[/ame]

Lebron would have a steroid induced heart attack if he got dunked on like the above video..Its a good thing Scottie ain't playin in todays NBA because he would probabely be in prison for murder......
I was there for this dunk. The place came unglued. It was so loud.

I was there as well and I still have my ticket stub..Do you know if the ticket sub is worth anything considering its from the old stadium???...It was the last NBA playoff game ever played in the old Stadium....It got so loud when Ewing hit the ground it sounded like an earthquake from the crowds roar...I think I still suffer from hearing loss from that moment...

Pippen would cause Lebron to quit, therefore he would be the reason for Lebitch shutting his own self down...He already is called Lequit isn't he....Plus Pip really probabely would cause queen James to join the WNBA...Are you sure you saw Pip play back in the days???????...I have 90% of the Bulls games from 1988-98 recorded on vhs tapes all labeled in there entirety...Including the 93-94 season when Pip dominated the league without Jordan...Any arguement about Pippen relevents will result in me going to the basement and pulling out the game to watch an analize for proof of how dominate of a defender he was.....I even have the dates on the labels...I went to the school of Pippenology and have a PHD...

I don't know. It could be to some Bulls memorabilia collectors. You should look into it.

I was working in the First Balcony section that game. I was mad because at the 1.8 seconds game, I worked courtside right behind the rim that Toni Kukoc made the game winner on. I was working the entrance to the Luvabulls locker room. The stories I could tell about that one.

Plus, Pip really probably would cause queen James to join the WNBA. Are you sure you saw Pip play back in the days? I have 90% of the Bulls games from 1988-98 recorded on VHS tapes, all labeled in there entirety, including the 93-94 season when Pip dominated the league without Jordan. Any argument about Pippen relevance will result in me going to the basement and pulling out the game to watch an analyze for proof of how dominant of a defender he was. I even have the dates on the labels. I went to the school of Pippenology, and have a PHD.

Wow, I had to clean that up.

On to why I quoted this. If you have all of these games on tape and can pull them out, props to you. That 94 season was terrific. Pippen was his all around best that year. MVP level play (I think he got robbed, but that's me), I saw it all first hand. He was unbelievable.

Even though you have all of this, you can't tell dude anything, He is always right. You'll see.

Nothing beat the old barn, all the seats were closer. I doubt the stub is worth much unless you find a collector, my never worn hat(see avatar)isn't worth much...yet. That will change when the Bulls win another title. Believe it or not, you can still find 90's apparel unworn w/tags still on them in re-sale stores(Chicago area)if you are persistent. I just found that 6-time champion T-shirt from 98' w/original NBA tag for 5 bucks....matches the hat!.

You can be a Pippen fan...without being unreasonable. Pippen was the best SF of his era, as I said before, if Grant Hill had stayed healthy, he would have surpassed him. Lebron is the best SF all time if you look at on the court abilities. There is nothing to talk about here....really. The idea of Pippen stopping a 6'8" 270 pound man who is stronger AND faster than him is laughable.

And again, you can come up with all of the nicknames you want for James....he has been the best player in this playoff BY FAR! I know what a dominant defender he was, but nobody stops the best offensive players from scoring.

And please the shout out the virtues of Scottie Pippen while calling someone else a quitter...that is just not a good idea...

He most definately would've won the mvp if the same criteria that's used now, was applied back in 94.

Pippen wouldn't shut down james by way of holding him to less than 15 pts. But what he would do is force him into alot of TOs and a less than steller FG%. Pippen was a beast. I always say he's the flip side of james. James is a great scorer and very good defensively. And pippen is great defensively and a very good scorer

And james is not 270lbs. Maybe 260 at the most.

Grant hill was never and could never be on pippens level. Hill put up similar stats to pippen and he never had to share the ball with jordan, rebound with rodman, or play in the triangle offense.

Grant was a better scorer than Pippen...and he would have been better given time. I have no doubt about that. Look at him now! Damn near all league defense at 40! Averaged 26ppg in 2000...I have NOOOOO doubt he would have been an all time great had he stayed healthy...no doubt.

1. Lebron is a great defender, not very good...great..
2. Lebron is supposedly the same size as Karl Malone was 6'8" and about 270...and even if he's 260, he is 40 lbs bigger than Pippen!

I see your standards for great aren't very high. Why is james great? Cuz he defended derrick rose a green 22 yr old on a couple possesions? Either way, james isn't on pippens level defensively. Maybe they're comparable on the ball, but past that, its all pippen.

And in respones to grant hill, sure he spiked that one season. But im sure pippen would've too. Don't just lokk at stats bro. Look at theirrespective situations. Hill had carte blanche to shoot. For over 5 seasons. And he didn't play with guys like jordan and rodman who surely would've canibalized his statistical output. And even still, they put up very similar statistics.

And im not gonna debate you on james wight. He's terrible in the post so even if he is 270, he's not maximizing on it. Pippen was about 230 and had a very good post game.

And just so you know where im comming from, I think pippen in this era, even playing with jordan and his role with the bulls would've avg 25 ppg. You gotta look at situations and circumstances.

I agree that Hill would've been a lock for HOF and all that jazz. That man could play ball. Even now he's still got it at near 40 like you said. But I'm not sure he could do all the things Pippen could do. I don't think Hill could ever shoot the 3 very well, but maybe he would've developed it over time, who knows? Still, what Pippen did has to be praised. As it stands, he's the best SF I've seen other than Lebron.

Pippen was a below average three point shooter and free throw shooter...Hill over his career is just as good from long range and a much better free throw shooter. Hill actually did damn near everything for the Pistons, kind of like Lebron did for the Cavaliers...he would have won an MVP if he had of been healthy in his prime, I believe. He was just that good.

You didn't see Larry Bird and Dominique Wilkins? You missed a show. Wilkins was arguably better and Bird...well that's a no brainer.
