I see your standards for great aren't very high. Why is james great? Cuz he defended derrick rose a green 22 yr old on a couple possesions? Either way, james isn't on pippens level defensively. Maybe they're comparable on the ball, but past that, its all pippen.

And in respones to grant hill, sure he spiked that one season. But im sure pippen would've too. Don't just lokk at stats bro. Look at theirrespective situations. Hill had carte blanche to shoot. For over 5 seasons. And he didn't play with guys like jordan and rodman who surely would've canibalized his statistical output. And even still, they put up very similar statistics.

And im not gonna debate you on james wight. He's terrible in the post so even if he is 270, he's not maximizing on it. Pippen was about 230 and had a very good post game.

And just so you know where im comming from, I think pippen in this era, even playing with jordan and his role with the bulls would've avg 25 ppg. You gotta look at situations and circumstances.

Don't just look at raw totals...look at efficiency. Having the green light to shoot doesn't mean green light in efficiency. In that area, Hill was better. Again, he was to Detroit what Lebron was to Cleveland. And looking at overall efficiency...Grant Hill's 2 best offensive seasons were better than Pippen's so called MVP season. It is what it is...

I don't know. It could be to some Bulls memorabilia collectors. You should look into it.

I was working in the First Balcony section that game. I was mad because at the 1.8 seconds game, I worked courtside right behind the rim that Toni Kukoc made the game winner on. I was working the entrance to the Luvabulls locker room. The stories I could tell about that one.

Well tell them damnit!! Lol

You can be a Pippen fan...without being unreasonable. Pippen was the best SF of his era, as I said before, if Grant Hill had stayed healthy, he would have surpassed him. Lebron is the best SF all time if you look at on the court abilities. There is nothing to talk about here....really. The idea of Pippen stopping a 6'8" 270 pound man who is stronger AND faster than him is laughable.

And again, you can come up with all of the nicknames you want for James....he has been the best player in this playoff BY FAR! I know what a dominant defender he was, but nobody stops the best offensive players from scoring.

And please the shout out the virtues of Scottie Pippen while calling someone else a quitter...that is just not a good idea...

I think Dirk takes the cake on the playoff MVP

Hills not even more efficient than pippen. They both shot similar fg%. And pippens best season trumps hills. And we havnt even begin the defensive side of the ball where pippen has him by a landslide.

Yes he is...go look at their efficiency numbers...I will say it again, Hill was doing in Detroit what Lebron was doing in Cleveland. The joke was Hill did everything but sell the popcorn. He left and nobody complained. The Bulls went after him too if you remember. His first 5,6 years in the league totally destroy Pippen's first years of that same span.

[Qquote=houheffna;267229]big difference from that and saying the bulls would sweep this heat team because pippen shuts down lebron, i don't think any one person can shut lebron down...he shuts himself down...[/quote]

it would be hard for even jordan to shut down a guy that's so pumped uo on steroids and physical ulteriing drugs like lebron has taken the last 3 years...never the less, pippen shut down players bigger than himself on a regualr basis, magic, ewing, there are games where he even wwas assigned to defend shaq and pip was no center....fact..

Pip should of had the nickname "Shaq Attack"
