My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Pippen was a below average three point shooter and free throw shooter...Hill over his career is just as good from long range and a much better free throw shooter. Hill actually did damn near everything for the Pistons, kind of like Lebron did for the Cavaliers...he would have won an MVP if he had of been healthy in his prime, I believe. He was just that good.

You didn't see Larry Bird and Dominique Wilkins? You missed a show. Wilkins was arguably better and Bird...well that's a no brainer.

I guess being born in the 90s just ruins a lot of basketball for me then. Most of what I've seen of Pippen shows him draining 3s left and right, although his percentages don't really agree with the highlights I guess. As it is, I sadly can't say I've watched Pippen or Hill in either of their primes live. Hill could definitely do everything pretty well just like Pippen could. I don't really know what the deal is with Pippen's free throw shooting...he was pretty bad. I don't deny that Hill was MVP calibur, again I will say that he could flat out ball. Unfortunately I did not see Bird or Wilkins...I'm sure if I had my view would probably be different. That's why I said that I've SEEN. I'm not that ignorant, I know that Bird and Wilkins are at the top of the list of SFs.

ACTUALLY, PIPPEN WAS THE BEST 3 POINT SHOOTER IN bulls HISTORY UNTIL KIRK PASSED HIM UP.....FACT........Not to mention he played in more playoff games than anyone in nba history until Robert Horry passed him up....just some fun facts for my chicitysports family....God I'm glad to have been born in the 70s so I could witness the best era in the NBA...that's why nothing I see in the NBA nowadays impresses me very much...I saw Dr.J, kareem, magic, bird, isah, Jordan, dominique, Clyde the glide drexler, and most important Pippen and the real dream team.....I'm blessed and feel sorry for todays youth that missed the real deal and have to watch these spoiled pampered clone wannabes....

Oh boy...I think the superstar of today could have gone head up with any group in league history. Kobe, Duncan, Lebron, Wade, Duncan, Garnett, Dirk....those are all time great players. And the league has never seen this much depth at the point guard position. This is a very good time to be an NBA fan...

Yes he is...go look at their efficiency numbers...I will say it again, Hill was doing in Detroit what Lebron was doing in Cleveland. The joke was Hill did everything but sell the popcorn. He left and nobody complained. The Bulls went after him too if you remember. His first 5,6 years in the league totally destroy Pippen's first years of that same span.

So did pippen. And pippen did everything on both sides of the ball. And again, hill didn't have to share the points with anyone like jordan or rebound with a rodman or grant for that matter. What about this concept is so hard to grasp?

And I checked their stats. Hill and pippen were very similar statistically. Hill routinely had 20 ppg seasons. Same as pippen.

What the heck do you mean Pippen did everything on both sides. He didn't have to score like Hill did...because he had Jordan!!! And when he played without Jordan, Pippen had a fantastic year...but he also had some very bad moments. Pippen was born to be a Robin, Grant Hill was a franchise player...no doubt about that...

Grant Hill in his prime is a much better player than Scottie Pippen. There's no doubt about that. NONE

Are you even a bulls fan? You compare pippen from 88 to 93? Which include a few of pippens best seasons, but pick hills best 5 years? And even still the stats are close.

Your loosing alot of credibility

Wow...we agree...

Somthing talls me you both are in your early 20s or you both just smoked some real potent Kush Kush........Pippen was better bottom line plus Pip knew how to maintain his shape and health year after year through more playoffs than any other player and through that time hardly ever getting injured in the most physical games and era...Pip should of showed Grant how to hit the wieghts..As a matter of fact in interviews with Grant he clearly states that Pippen was his favorite player and best all arouuund..Pippen was his idol...Grant Hill for a short period of time toward the end of the 90s was a poor mans pippen at best....

I don't give a damn about how credible you think I am as a Bulls fan.

Reading is fundamental, it compares their FIRST 6 SEASONS as NBA players. Which is what I was speaking of comparing.

So all of a sudden Grant Hill was out of shape? While you are spending time on youtube, go back and look at Grant Hill in the 1990's...he was not at all out of shape.

And just because a player is your damn idol doesn't mean you can't be better than them, what sense does that make?

My bad, 6. Still pippen didn't play as much as hill. Why you would want to make a comparison this way is stupid. Unless your saying prime hill is better than a young pippen. And you still havnt acknowledged pippen far superior defense. Why?

Grant Hill was the ideal size for a small forward in the 1990's...he was bulky enough...what youngsters? You don't know me...you are the one sounding naive and young...no need to dust off your beta player when youtube is accessible...

Cuz your handicapping pippen. You taking the best years of hills career (his first six) but neglect pippens best years.

I thought we were comparing them at their best. The fact is you left 94-97 out. And even though you did, pippen still holds his own compared to hill statistically. And why do you continue to neglect the defensive side of the ball? The side where pippen is considered to be the best ever on the perimeter/swing position

Clearly, some people in here haven't seen Grant Hill play much in the mid-to-late 90's. He wasn't as good of a defender as Pippen, but shooting, finishing, rebounding and passing I think it is clear as day that Hill was the better player. I honestly think Hill drew the short end of the straw in terms of injuries. This guy fought his ass off to get back into the NBA after many surgeries and even one time coming close to death because of an infection. He had every reason to quit but still didn't.

The fact this guy is still one of the better players in the NBA at his age should speak volumes. He's better than a lot of guys who are much younger than him- McGrady, Iverson, Vince Carter, and many others.
