1. You had a first thought?

2. .................................... Vast majority and his best seasons were in the 60's. Come on.

Yeah, I get that but I don't claim to have a vast knowledge about the NBA in the 60's either. Robertson (I think) didn't win his ring until the 70's anyway, and that is the only games I've ever watched of his.

When exactly did you start watching NBA basketball?
1989.
Did you ever see those guys play in anything more than a selected few games that you downloaded/watched on YT?
Satellite dishes, NBA Classic, ebay, the internet, and books are glorious tools.

I have more old tapes and games of MLB, NBA, NFL, and NCAA FB and BB games than I care to admit to.

I've seen a lot of games from at least every NBA Finals from probably the mid-60's all the way up to 1983. After that, I've seen almost every NBA Finals game ever played from 1984-2011. Prior to 1983, I really don't have a feel for what was happening in the NBA. The most I can speak to in a lot of detail is from 1995-now because that is when I started to become completely obsessed with the NBA.

The internet and books have been helpful when learning about Wilt's and Russell's careers, but I wouldn't claim that I could evaluate someone who watched them play dozens of times each season.

Yeah, I'm sure that he was well past his prime anyway by then, which is probably why I never seen anything his his that particularly impressed me. I shouldn't have dismissed him from my top 10 list, that's for sure.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Oscar Robertson also invented free agency. He was kinda dickish about that during the whole Decision thing. Just a little...

I'm going to place Shaquille right between Walt "Clyde" Frazier and Clyde "The Glide" Drexler
