That might be part of the dilemma as far as the lack moves (trade or otherwise), by the 'Hawks. Seeing that Hossa and Sharp are non-contact skating now is a good sign, but only the team knows the extent of their injuries and if they are being rushed back (which I do not believe).

Honestly, if there is any move, I would just love two things.

(1) a 2nd line improvement where Kane is not the single source of line effectiveness. Not talking just scoring, but all other aspects of that line. Primarily the ability to keep the puck in the offensive zone and force the other team's D to make mistakes to give not just Kane, but the rest of the line better scoring chances. Preferably at center, and I would be fine with Bolland moving to the 3rd line roll where he has proven to be more effective for this team.

(2) 3rd/4th liner that can play puck possession, has size to use, and will play more and more effective minutes than Bollig and Carcillo..

I'd be good with getting that center and moving Bolland to the 4th line, if they get a second line center/scorer. That 3rd line has built some good chemistry all year and I wouldn't want to put Bolland there to disrupt it

Saad-Toews-Hossa

Sharp - Gretzky - Kane

Bickell-Shaw -Stalberg

Kruger-Bolland-Frolictinez

Those 4 line can roll/play against any line in the league. Let a team run around and "out hit" them...these four lines can cause havoc on other teams with their speed/forecheck

although i agree bolland should bulk up a bit more, i still think you give him more time. We're winning, so wtf? He needed a chance and this is it, why so randomly say the chance is over before the end of an already shortened season? Besides we all know hes a playoff guy anyway.

Okay so after watching the 1st two periods of tonights game i am all aboard the get a fucking 2nd line center wagon. Bolland has been a disgrace and poor Kane is now playing both wings and center on that line. What a shit mess. Bolland is showing zero effort out there. Kane also seems to be playing both center/rw and both points on his pp line.

Because of this I am starting the chant GET ME DEREK ROY!! I know he isn't on the top of everyones list but the guy can help this second line up the middle AND produce on the pp (he has always posted solid pp numbers). I don't even want Bolland on the 3rd line. Just rid of him..trade him...send him to the minors..hes pathetic.

Roy is garbage and not what this team needs at all. Plus, he's also pretty terrible at faceoffs.

This team needs Sharp at center, as they have the last three seasons.

This team needs Sharp to get back in the game, and get his scoring ability back out of his ass (where his head has been to this point in the season).

Roy isn't garbage hes just plays a bit too soft.

Anyways it doesn't matter. Im with you now. Put Sharp there when he comes back even though I have no love for Hayes on that LW either. Bolland showed almost zero effort tonight. Lazy lazy plays all over the place. Standing still watching the game...not going into corners. Disgraceful. I don't even think he would be useful on the 3rd line either. I'm more impressed with Shaws work ethic than Bollands. Hell throw Bolland on the 4th or trade him. Tonight was an eye opener for me...horrible. Bolland didn't look like a player who won a cup or who has NHL experience. He looked like a bantam rep playing with professionals.

I don't ever put a loss on one players shoulders but **** it. Bolland lost us that game tonight by playing like a complete piece of shit all night long. And it was lovely for Q to reward him with pp time with Toews and Kane. I could give a shit if we are short right handed shots Bolland had no rights to be out there. That guy should have been benched half way through the 1st period.

As Ton said to TCD, why does Shaw need to play C? Wouldn't mind him play a wing spot on the 3rd line with Bolland and either Bickell or Stal.

Kruger could eventually be the 2nd line C IMO. He's been developing nicely and he's starting to bring out that offensive side of his game that he was originally drafted for. Don't forget, he's only 22 (soon to be 23) and still developing.

kruger has more assists centering the 4th line than bolland does centering the 2nd with one of the best rwers in the league and one of the top lwers when sharp was healthy. that does say something doesn't it? Kruger deserves some sort of reward for his contributions this season. strong pk strong defensive hockey and yah he probably is improving on offense. I honestly cant say i have been watching kruger much this season as far as offensive signs..too busy impressed by his defensive game. Bolland doesnt have much of either this season.

I guess shaw doesnt have to lay center but it just sucks and isnt healthy or fare to the other players to bounce them around this late into a shortened season or any season for that matter just because Bolland cant get his shit together. Im sure when Sharp and Hossa return the issue will relax but **** bolland will still suck by the looks of things. Shaw has been working hard at center and doing pretty good. Its not fare to him to be bouncing him around positions like that. But if its for the better of the team then whatever. I personally dont want this team adjusting lines like its training camp with a month left in the season. 3rd line has chemistry leave it alone!!! Even though the last few games it hasnt exactly been that great.

not a big fan of two rookies on the top two lines, but it could work.

TCD acting like Bolland won't be money in the playoffs for the first time in his life.

well now franz nielson rumors are starting up. Apparently the Hawks are talking to the Islanders. Not a fan of Nielson. Hes small and hes no better in the circle than bolland. but **** it go get him gives me another player to get mad at.

Yah rex im changing my tune on bolland. somethings not right with that guy i dont even have faith he will show up in the playoffs hes gone soft. not sure if the back problems of the past are bothering him or what but hes a mere shadow of his old self. im not even confident that the reason is because hes a natural 3rd liner. he just looks like crap!!

could be coaching. When you're third line C, you're told to go out and disrupt, agitate, play defensive and score the odd goal. He excelled.

now he is out there and his job is to play a finesse game, and get the puck to Kane

wouldn't be surprised at all if it's coaching, kind of like how when Hammer plays internationally all of a sudden he's scoring goals every fucking game, but when he plays with us it looks like he's intentionally missing the net so a forward can bang it in.

Exactly...coaches tell the players not to try to score, hit outlet passes...play a defensive/offensive game. I couldn't agree with you more that coaches are the reasons players play good/bad.

They need to get a coach that will tell the players to not let the other team score, and to score when they have the puck. Dammit Q

I said that he is not reacting well to playing a different style. He is expected to play a different game. He obviously isn't doing it well, but you don't just stop playing gritty and agitating and try to play finesse unless you're instructed to.

How is this hard for you to understand? Oh, nevermind. Look who I'm talking to.
