Congrats...LTZ has the 3.6lV6 in it, right?

No, Chevy's gone mental with the Malibu.
They dropped the V-6s in 2013.

All you can get is 4-bangers now. Decent HP, but turbo.

As for the buick recommendations, lol, no different from a friend recommending a Dave Mathews concert. Hell no.

You think Audi's are boring but would buy a Suburu? WTF, Chuck?

Both are horribly lame and boring. My Moms-in-law drives the Audi, and me eldest kid drives the Subaru.

I'm not a "car guy" yet i know they both those are cars are no fun to drive. How? because I own them both and have driven both of them.

We just bought a Toyota Sienna. Went mini-van in this *****. I'm getting old!

I endured 6 seasons with a mini-van, though only part-time on weekends for the most part. So stoked when we dumped that shameful sled.

I just traded my '12 GTI for a '17 Colorado. My last truck was a Ford Ranger I bought new in 1995. It had manually operated windows and a cassette player but for half the money it could pretty much do what this new technological marvel does. Anyway...

ND is horrible.
In my mid 30s and still have never made a car payment in my life.

A 9 yr old Honda Accord, FTR.

I just closed on my first investment property (with my folks if i'm being honest here), and hope to have 5+ units by my mid 40s or so. Im sure that sounds overly sanctimonious- and it is- but I just can't get my head around people who buy 30-50k cars that don't make say 160k+ a yr. And even then, if you have a family, what are they thinking?

Enjoy the cars, gentleman. Worst investment most people will ever make.

Bought a brand new 2000 Toyota Rav4 paid cash, thing runs like a top. I take care of my car, never had a problem in 17 years. Best investment I ever made.

A home is the worst investment most people will make.

Well, you need a place to live and a way to get to work, so comparing those to stocks and bonds is pretty stupid. By that Special person standard food is the worst investment, the returns are shit.

Not true. You just can't be stupid about it and overspend which is what most consumers do. You also have to know where and what you're buying. If you buy a house in the right area, you can put a minimal amount of money into it and sell it 5 years later for more then you paid for it. Or you could take a 15 year mortgage and pay it off and then not have a housing expense outside of taxes/maintenance. I'll take both options over paying rent for the rest of your life.

Unless you are a collector a car is not an investment at all, it's an expense. If you're an enthusiast though it may be worth it to spend more on something you enjoy. It is to me.

buying a car is for suckas...unless you collecting. Leasing is the smart thing to do. At least that's how I look at it. But I live in NYC and don't own a car, so what do I know?

why lease when you can buy a used 90-00's s10 for 2k.. if its all that...

buying a car is almost a requirement depending on where you live... u gotz all the public/private transportation services at your fingertips.. i live near a train station thatll get me to the sydney cbd and coast (2.5 hrs) but its still a 10-15 minute drive to the station.. which would be a 30-40 dollar cab ride here... there is a bus... but its very limited being that we are out in bfe.. it basically serves the morning and afternoon school and work crowd..
