Not sure how I fucked up the poll/pole but if a mod can fix that for me I'd appreciate it.

i have never been, so I don't know. I just assumed they did like all the other pro leagues, and you go in wearing one teams sweater.

I'm pretty sure that when you go into Cooperstown, if you played for more than one team, you have to tell the Hall of Fame which team you want to go in under.

Don't know about hockey.

Cooperstown (MLB) picks for you....example" Dawson, wanted to go in as a Cub, went in as an Expo

That is blasphemy. If number 7 is retired it should be for Seabrook, not that tool.

True dat.

They should wait about 15 more years to see what Seabs accomplishes.

I did not know that. :shifty:

I wonder if Clemens would have gone in as a New York Yankee or a Boston Red Sox. One might think as a Red Sox, but the Yankees already have (pin)stripes on their unis.

Yeah, for multiple team players the HOF chooses which team's logo goes on their plaque baseball cap image---they'll list all the teams on the plaque but they decide which team's logo based on where they feel the player made their most indelible baseball mark. BUT until the past decade or so they liked to defer to the player as to what logo they wanted regardless of tenure/stats and alas I know this so keenly because it's still like a knife to my heart that Pudge went in as a Red Sox with the Red Sox logo even though he played with my beloved White Sox longer AND better damnit! And the HOF effing let it happen back in the day although they wouldn't now. Grrrrrr! It was a truly crushing blow to my Fisk fangirldom for a little while since he's one of my all-time Top 3 favorite Sox players (and a Sox hero to me as a kid)---took me a while for the sting to pass, forgive him his trespasses, come to peace with his decision, and let him back into my fond good graces, heh.
