Can someone post his numbers while he was here and if possible the numbers for the other retired numbers while they were here? I know there is no real contribution, but I'd like to see how overwhelming it looks?

Your spelling's still pretty good for being sloshed & numbed. Just work on the caps. :D

Not a fucking chance #7 is Seabrook. He won the cup wearing it in Chicago. Chilies can **** off and retire a reading.

Can someone please explain why they say no without including the Red Wings?

Where a player ened up should have no bearing on whether their number is retired or not, Bobby Hull anyone?

I find it better to keep one eye closed, and the auto spell check don't hurt either.

Mark me as a 'HELL NO!!!' if you ever get the poll fixed. Great D-man but too many seasons playing on other teams, plus it was his decision to leave the Hawks. He wasn't pushed, he jumped. You can say the same about Hull but at least he helped win the cup with the team. I don't think Hull ever dreamed of leaving until the WHA put together that sweetheart contract in their bid to buy some legitimacy.

He won the Cup with the Habs and the Red Wings (three of them). Why the **** would the Hawks retire his jersey? I don't get it.

Mean while Seabrook has won ONE Cup so far with the HAWKS, and who knows how many others in the future. NO WAY. #7 is SEABROOK.

He's not a Hawk, he's a Red Wing. He played 10 years with the Wings, the most of any team in his career and now works with them in their front office.

Get over him.

Agreed. He won nothing here and his stats as a Hawk don't warrant that special honor.

He is NOT one of the seven best Hawks of all time.

Hell no, and the only thing i would add is that cheli only played about 1/3 of his career here, although it was a hell of a career.

To me to have your number retired by a team, the player should be identified with one team only. That is not the case with Cheli.

Hawks have enough retired, plus a good chance of a few more from the current team in about 20 years.

This. I heard Bobby at the Convention say he told the WHA he wanted $1 million almost sarcastically, like someone asking for $1 billion today.

Good point, R K. Here's something else to consider when comparing Cheli's and Hull's decisions to leave, player's in Hull's era, even the super stars made good money but not the ridiculous coin that was being paid out in contracts even for mediocre players in the 90's. Hull left for financial security for his family knowing he'd never play for the cup again, future stats wouldn't count with his NHL ones, etc. Cheli asked to be traded to a stacked team so he'd have a decent shot at the cup again, not that there isn't anything wrong with that but hey, whatever.

I agree with bri/RK...#7 is not Blackhawk for "Chelios".

And anyone who disagrees needs to find a long spiky pole to violate their anal orifice on.
