Huh? I have no clue what you are trying to say here.

I know Dewitt was included, but the whole move was a salary cut on our end.

Theriot was making millions, Dewitt is making much less.

I don't know what you are saying to be honest.

Dodgers said that they almost did the trade without DeWitt or Theriot in it, and it would have been the same other players, so it was pretty much Lilly for prospects, and Theriot for DeWitt straight-up. Just saying that Theriot for DeWitt was a bad move, and agreeing with you.

No, I've been given reasons Cashner starting isn't a necessity. I haven't heard anything about why Silva SHOULD start, just about why it isn't a big deal.

You need to relax, im pretty sure the Cubs front office knows what they are doing. I'll bet YOU are more pissed than Cashner is about the 5th starter spot. he'll be ok, one year of development in the 'pen is fine. he hasnt even pitched that much in the MLB.

The Cubs front office hasn't done anything...

Cashner doesn't care if he starts or not at all, either does Silva, so put Silva in the pen.

Who is this "he"? Silva says he'd actually like pitching from the pen, as long as he is in the Majors. He said that all he cares about is being in the Majors.

He (Silva) said he does not like the idea of pitching in the pen. A reporter mentioned that.

No, just no, see below in this post.

When did he say that?

Yesterday.

"I don't know what the decision is going to be," Silva said. "Hopefully, they make the right decision. For them to make the right decision, they don't need to pick me. You can have a good, bad Spring Training, but if you have a good season, they made the right choice."

What if the Cubs ask him to switch to relief rather than start?

"As long as I wear a big league jersey, I'll be fine," he said. "I'm looking forward to winning. Last year, I said, 'Man, I don't care where they put me, in the starting rotation or the bullpen. I just want to be a better pitcher.'

"As long as I wear a big league jersey, especially the Cubs jersey, it's a blessing," he said.

I don't know what reporter you are referring to waldo, I only remember CO claiming that. But Silva says that if there was a report like that, it wasn't true.

You really need to relax. Your making such a huge deal out of nothing

Uhh.... I was responding to waldo saying something wasn't true and showing a quote, while answering a question, I'm not making a big deal out of anything right now... especially since the report this topic is about was false...

You've been making a big deal out of it for 12 pages now.

No, it died down... I was answering a question about something unrelated.

I was pissed when it looked like ti was a true report, not now.

Turns out, according to Muskat, that had Silva not had that outing yesterday, he would have been eliminated from the rotation battle.
