Stop making posts for me cuz i never said that you little Special person. I said I'm not high on Cashner like you sitting on his dick 24/7. No where in any of my posts have I once said I didn't care about Cashner. So please go get some sun, a girlfriend, and finish going through puberty, instead of sitting inside all day trying to fight pointlessly about a guy you will never meet. Your posts are beyond idiotic. You root against the Cubs when Silva pitches. then say your a true fan. A true fan in a 5 year olds eyes maybe. You stick with your team through and through not get all ass hurt when the guy you like to imagine riding doesn't get the job you hoped he would. Grow the **** up. Your posts just piss me off anymore. I wish i could just ban you because it seems like your idiotic bullshit pisses off other people and not just me.

Post of the year. You have provided me with so many laughs. Thank you so much! I probably would have had an aneurism if I would have been here.

Cubs will make position player cuts today. One spot remains, and it is between DeWitt, Scales, and Moore.

Cubs will decide the rotation after Cashner pitches Saturday and before the truck leaves Sunday.

Is it Dewitt or Barney?

I have read Scales wont make MLB team just insurance for injuries. I think DeWitt still makes team cause he can play 2B and 3B

Ew why would we let Barney start?

Because he has had a good spring and is better than DeWitt. A lot of Cub fans want him to start over DeWitt and Baker. And I'm for that too. But am fine if Baker starts. Right now, I don't want DeWitt to start until he proves otherwise.

Barney hit 299/333/378 in the PCL last year. That's fucking awful, and then he put up a 241/294/291 in 85 PA last year. He just isnt good. I don't care how good his spring has been that's not good.

Ugh we never should have traded away Theriot if Barney is going to be the starting 2B.

Theriot? Are you serious???? Barney will be better than Theriot. Your turning into CO and it's annoying. Theriot didn't have good minor league stats either and was suppost to be only a utility player.

I would take Theriot back to over any 2B we have right now lol..... Of any 2B that we do have though i hope Barney starts. I cant stand DeWitt and Baker cant hit RHP. I really think Cubs will have to upgrade at this position during the season with a trade. Jose Reyes sounds good to me :)

How am I turning into CO? Because I use actual facts to back up my statement rather than "Barney will be better than Theriot"

Last year his minor league stats were a major league equivalant of a 250/279/310 hitter.

Theriot despite having the best year of his career put up a 284/320/327 with the Cubs, and again this was by far his first year while moving to a position he hasn't played in a while.

Theriot is by no means an good or even an OK second basemen, but he is better than Darwin Barney currently is and 39 AB's in Arizona isn't going to change that.

So yes if we are going to be starting Darwin Barney we should have kept Theriot who at least has proven he can hit Major League pitching. Barney hasn't even proven he can hit Minor League pitching.

Minor League Equivalency calculator thats where I got the MLE's from.

And if you would love to discuss things with me I would love to do it back, but at least use some sort of evidence to say I am wrong.

Cub fans unjustly hate certain players and it's really annoying especially when the proof is in the pudding. Theriot was a very good short stop for us and Silva was a very good starting pitcher for us last year. Yet guys like Reed Johnson come back and people love them despite them being much worse for us than these two were. There is no need for people to hate them and really no reason. Were they stars? No. Were they good players for us? Yes.

Maybe but I think he is going to be WAY too expensive to play 2B. His bat won't translate over as well.

We should have just gotten Uggla or Kelly Johnson and called it a day. I am not a big fan of Kelly Johnson, but he is better than any of the shittastic 2B we currently have or Theriot.

Also thanks for pointing out you would take Theriot over any of these.

I wasnt a big fan of Theriot but right now he would fit what Cubs need in leadoff hitter plus steal 20 bags. I really think cubs regrett trading theriot for part of DeWitt deal. I didnt understand it then and espically now

I think it was just to cut some cash and Theriot had really been struggling since moving to 2B. I didn't get it then either.

I don't think he would be a good leadoff guy, but would hit very well in the 8 hole, where he has thrived in his career.

DeWitt was included to get Theriot too, lol. They were straight-up, take them out and both teams give up the same players they did beyond them, lol. :turrible:

Huh? I have no clue what you are trying to say here.

I know Dewitt was included, but the whole move was a salary cut on our end.

Theriot was making millions, Dewitt is making much less.

I don't know what you are saying to be honest.
