Ya, congrats for complaining about people not being real fans, lol.

I don't care, lol. I'm just exaggerating my disapproval. I support player development over someone like Silva, that's all. I think Cashner will be great for us in the coming years if we don't turn him into Samardzija 2.0.

Refer to your sig for my answer to the rest of your posts :rimshot: its pointless even bothering answering you.

Haha, all you said is "You're not a true fan", which is garbage.

You thought my reasoning was bad, but you said you wanted Silva to start just because I didn't, lololol.

Anyway, Silva had a good outing for the first time this spring, so the Cusb will hand it to him. At least Cashner makes the pen solid so we will be able to try to get back into games after every Silva blowup.

You are the one who says you don't care if Cashner ends up like Samardzija. Because I care, you say I only care about Cashner, not the team. Would a potential ace being kept in the pen and ending up like Jeff Samardzija not hurt the team?

So... ya. We've had enough Samardzijas, we don't need to turn a guy with huge upside into him.

Stop making posts for me cuz i never said that you little Special person. I said I'm not high on Cashner like you sitting on his dick 24/7. No where in any of my posts have I once said I didn't care about Cashner. So please go get some sun, a girlfriend, and finish going through puberty, instead of sitting inside all day trying to fight pointlessly about a guy you will never meet. Your posts are beyond idiotic. You root against the Cubs when Silva pitches. then say your a true fan. A true fan in a 5 year olds eyes maybe. You stick with your team through and through not get all ass hurt when the guy you like to imagine riding doesn't get the job you hoped he would. Grow the **** up. Your posts just piss me off anymore. I wish i could just ban you because it seems like your idiotic bullshit pisses off other people and not just me.

Whats funny is that you think I want Silva pitching just because you don't. It's called sarcasm. But i forgot you don't socialize with people you sit infront of a screen all day my bad. I said Silva should so we can try to get some value for him and trade him.

I said in Spring Training Games. I root against Silva, not the offense, in Spring Training Games. If it was regular season, I'd be rooting for the Cubs all the way. I mean, most people don't watch spring training games at all. And nobody cares about your definition of a real fan, which is a stupid point in and of itself.

Now, is it really worth it to let Carlos Silva start just because he's getting a paycheck, if the result is turning Cashner, a potential ace, into a Jeff Samardzija?

That is my only point I have used, it is quite possibly ruining a potential ace for our team.

Your point has been "You are not a real fan".

And I'm not sitting on his dick.

Idiotic to not want to turn a potential ace into a Samrdzija? Please give an explanation about why it is not idiotic to give up a potential ace for a Samardzija?

Not high on Cashner as in what? You think all he is is a #5 starter for his career, or what?

Whats it matter if it's spring training. You still root for them through and through. Guess I expect to much of my team all the time. Sorry just thought thats how fans are. And I'm not high on him or Colvin. As in I don't think they are going to amount to all stars or more.

1) In Spring Training, I root for who I think fits the Cubs best and does them the most good in the long run over others. I root for Johnson over Perez too.

2) I have nothing else to do, I have no friends that live near me, and it is raining.

3) I thought of that later. And X-Factor is the post whore of CCS now.

1. You are rooting for Silva over Cashner... same thing as Cashner over Silva or Johnson over Perez or even Barney over Ojeda. So, you mean I can't bash Koyie Hill?

2. I don't have close friends or a cell phone, so... I don't go many places.

3. Cool, thanks for the reassurance I guess.

Anyway... Go Cubs.

If a player isn't doing well then go ahead and bash i do it. Silva is I'm not gonna argue that. And just cuz I'm rooting for Silva doesn't mean I'm rooting for Cashner to suck dick. I'm a cubs fan. I want all the players to do well. Cuz that means that the team is winning.

See... in the regular season I want them doing good. I'd be happy with a successful Silva in the bullpen. I just feel that giving Cashner a chance is better than turning him into another Samardzija.

One year for a kid isn't going to lead to another shark. I don't get why you think that this is going to lead the a collapse of his career.

It took half a year for the Shark, that one year, plus last year, is twice the amount.

What confuses me is how everyone was so opposed to calling him up as a relief pitcher last year, and now everyone seems to be in favor of it.

Ya, kind of sad that 1 outing from Silva, his only even decent outing, probably ways more than all of Cashner's decent outings combined.

Hopefully, they will let Cashner start Saturday before officially deciding.

Or, hopefully this outing initiates a trade of Silva.

cubs.com has it sounding like all this start did is give the Cubs something to think about. He may not be guaranteed a spot, and Cashner may still get to pitch Saturday before they decide who wins.

Muskat confirms that this start has not locked up a job for Silva:
Manager Mike Quade lost some sleep Tuesday night while making some pitching decisions. On Wednesday, he'll be tossing and turning over which regulars make the final 25-man roster. The Cubs need to pick an extra infielder and outfielder for the bench.

* Carlos Zambrano threw 82 pitches over four innings in the Cubs' Minor League camp for the Triple-A team against the Diamondbacks.

* Casey Coleman had a solid 1-2-3 inning in relief in the seventh Wednesday. The right-hander could be an option in the bullpen. "Casey has been a starter," Quade said. "You see an inning today [and think] could he come back and give you three [innings] in a couple days? Could he do that in the midst of being a Major League starter someday? It's encouraging to see him get up in a bullpen situation, come in and get three outs there."

* Carlos Silva had his best spring outing, giving up one run on three hits over six innings in the Cubs' 3-1 win over the Athletics. Now what?

"This means that decisions remain tough and we have to figure it out and we're thrilled that guys are competing and making it tough," Quade said. "We'll see how this plays out and I'll milk it as long as I can, to be honest."

Silva, competing with Andrew Cashner and Braden Looper for the final spot, took to heart some advice from pitcher Ryan Dempster.

"Today he said, 'I don't want you to give me 100 percent, I want you to give me 80 percent,'" Silva said of his conversation with the Cubs' Opening Day starter.

That might sound counter-productive, but the message was to try to not do too much. Calm down, don't overthrow, and trust your stuff. Wednesday was Silva's last chance.

"I needed this game," Silva said. "It doesn't matter if I make the rotation, it's personal. I needed a good game. I don't know what the decision will be but personally I needed this game just to start building my confidence and trust myself a little more. Next time I'll go out with a more positive attitude."
