I had Direct TV for a few years and switched to cable for that reason and a better price.

We had satellite a few years back and eventually got rid of it due constant issues with connection during bad weather.

Pro tip: I used to soak my dish with PAM to keep snow from accumulating on it during a snow storm if I had a bit of heads up.

I actually like this a few times... its the winters where you get a bunch of 4-5 inches of snow about 20-30 times over the winter that is annoying.

I remember one in particular where my snow blower couldnt get the snow on top of the piles anymore,they were too high..There was almost no place to put the snow...
Luckily for us, there was one guy who went to Florida every winter so we piled all the snow in front of his house and garage

I screwed 2 trim boards together so I can clean mine. Use the lightest boards you have. Rigid plastic works well.
