No kidding. "Sorry, no delivery service today due to a FUCKING BLIZZARD." Seems pretty straightforward to me. At a minimum the assholes ordering pizzas shoulda been tipping $20+.

I was that asshole. Last year Portland got snowed under with 6". Keep in mind this is Portland--The drivers here suck even in good weather, we rarely get snow, and 2" paralyzes the city and overwhelms its 1 snowplow, which I think is nothing more than a Toyota Prius with a Ground Effects kit.

Anyhow, through a combination of factors that put us in a hotel near PDX the night before we flew out with no food, Pizza hut was the only place open that delivered. I made sure to tip the guy like $30--which was more than our Pizza cost. Made the dude's night.

Then you weren't that asshole :) And a lowered Prius is exactly what I imagine a Portland snowplow looking like.

I did my 140' long drive last night and the winds buried it by midnight making my effort moot. I also had to make due with the gas in my Toro, because I forgot I was out and the gas station that's a block away from me closed last night at 5pm. Woke up this morning and walked to the gas station, filled up and did 2 passes. The warmth of the sun basically baked all of the slush away, so most of the drive should be spotless by the time I get home tonight.

The real pain in the ass were the plows. I live on a street that has a decent incline to it, so cars easily slide back down, so the plows are down often. All my work digging out the driveway apron was screwed by 3' high plowed snow that was about 3 feet thick. My neighbor's drive is next to ours, so we share and he helped out. I'll fire a few brews his way when I get home later.

Well, I was that asshole who ordered the pizza.

Honestly, a Lowered Prius is great to imagine, but I think all they did was "rent" 2 real ones from the Mt. Hood area that winter. With how big skiing is there they have to keep the passes clear. Still, If you ever find yourself anywhere in the PacNW west of the cascades and it snows any more than 2"....don't go out driving. It's not the snow you have to fear, it's the assholes in SUV's without chains thinking that being in a Ford Escape makes them invincible in the snow.

Got stuck twice on my street, thankfully my cool neighbor gave me a push. Just shoveled where I park. Not having a garage sucks in the winter.

Well, I got home and saw 2-3 foot snow drifts all over the place. We attacked the snow on our sidewalks and walkways with two snowblowers as well as our alley in an hour and a half. I woke up today sore as shit, went out to unbury my car and I was talking with my next door neighbor. He had snowblowed out the parking spot in front of my house for me which was nice of him then the asshole across the street from me found it convenient to throw the snow from in front of his house and cars into the spot he had cleared for me. I told my neighbor, say no more and thanks. Then I proceeded to literally bury his car in 4 feet of snow. **** em. I cleared out three parking spaces with my big ass snowblower and all of it went on top of his piece of shit.

I owe my neighbor a case of beer for the intel. He may be a Packers fan but he is a good guy.

When to Crown Point to help my buddy clear his " T" driveway that has four separate homes on the property, did it by myself because he's very ill & bed-ridden. Sunday took 6 hours with a snowblower, when over most areas three times did a good job, my problem is those leg killing, hard patches of snow-hills. Most of that snow removed blew all over the driveway again on Monday, took 4 hours to remove the snow and the only trick to get rid of those snow hills is to go back to it later and try different angles. It's horrible, takes way to much time and those landscaping guys are asking for 350$ to clean it up that only takes them 10 minutes to do is fucking ridiculous. This is actually the second year I've ever used a snowblower, so I need tips. I used to break out my quad and eat that shit up, but I gave it to my nephew in a trade with cash for a motorcycle, that I should had brought for myself a loooong time ago.

I'm pissed because I didn't mow the lawn this weekend planning to do it last night or tonight and it's fucking raining now. What is this snow stuff you speak of? I have vague childhood memories....

It's freezing here today. Like 45 when I woke up. Only going to get to the mid 60's today, torture. At least it's sunny without a cloud in the sky I guess.

I guess you need to wait some more to make snowmen and snow angels.
