There are times I miss all the snow Scoot...But not many times
Well, as I have said before, I like a big snow storm then maybe another solid storm and then maybe a coating of snow from time to time. What I hate is constant 3-6 inch snows, which aren't a big deal except traffic builds up and people drive like morons because they view it as not that bad and still try to drive normally. At that point it's just a major annoyance.

Depending on when the snow has really started (this year, Chicago has had much) I'm usually over it by January. This year, I'll be over it within a few weeks here. I just hope March warms up this year.

Well, I got home and saw 2-3 foot snow drifts all over the place. We attacked the snow on our sidewalks and walkways with two snowblowers as well as our alley in an hour and a half. I woke up today sore as shit, went out to unbury my car and I was talking with my next door neighbor. He had snowblowed out the parking spot in front of my house for me which was nice of him then the asshole across the street from me found it convenient to throw the snow from in front of his house and cars into the spot he had cleared for me. I told my neighbor, say no more and thanks. Then I proceeded to literally bury his car in 4 feet of snow. **** em. I cleared out three parking spaces with my big ass snowblower and all of it went on top of his piece of shit.

I owe my neighbor a case of beer for the intel. He may be a Packers fan but he is a good guy.
The snowstorm of 2011, something similar happened. My friend needed her car spot dug out so we did a really nice job on it for over an hour. After we were done we went inside for like 5 mins to get something and we came out and some dick head stole the spot. So we took all the snow and buried the **** out of the car. Alllllll the way around the car, on top of it. Everywhere. Bastard

Not trying to make anyone feel bad... Just love this time of year down here... Had a nice three mile walk with the wife this morning... like most days... nice weather.
Will be golfing this afternoon... however the prices are higher right now... in the summer you can play top courses for 30 bucks... double or triple right now...
In July you don't really go walk unless it's at day break... AC treadmill during that 90 day stretch...
I spent last year in Omaha... and after a year in Iraq, three years in AZ and three in HI it was tough on me... 8 degrees and scraping ice off the windshield... forgot how little I enjoyed that...

That's why I bought a place with a garage.

Of course snow can occur during work, so I can't always escape it, but that at least cuts the chances in half.

Had the house in AZ where the family lived so I was just in a little apartment for that year... but yes... I was regretting not paying extra for a garage...
Loved the fall though... I do miss that... take the good with the bad I suppose... Do like the look of fresh snow before it's walked on... and like to run in the cold... seem to function better and get better times...

I remember when I lived in Chicago...Pulling the car in the garage at night..Then leaving the heater on HOT, and the fan on HIGH cause in the morning the car was so cold you couldnt move the controls...lol

I don't ever heat up my garage. It just escapes through the door rather easily... My garage stays at 32-40 degrees (except for when we get those really really cold days.. then its below freezing in there).

This graphic is interesting in that 4 of the 5 biggest February snows have happened in the last 7 years.

I also wonder though why there was no big snows in the 80's and 90's (until the blizzard of 99).

When I lived on Humboldt Blvd, I was glad to have corralled parking. That place was awesome. When I was living in Ukranian Village (Washtenaw), I had to play the dibs game (which is stupid).
