Thats Bull and you know it. The Bulls basically started with a clean slate after 98. They were dead last in payroll
that's,uh, part of the fall out?
Sure they were. They went after Duncan, Tmac, and Hill. And they had Brand
apparently not...considering they got none of those guys
the bulls were terrible when they had brand...brand was the #1 pick in 99 lol
like you literally gave me a giant chart of the atrocious record that the bulls had back in the day, yet somehow they were in a prime position to get these 3 guys?
who were they going to spend on then?
Wow. Perinial bottom three payroll for multiple seasons, then get to middle of the pack. Big whoop
well it's quite a bit better than they had been
I gave a solutiion in another thread I made. You wanna see a surefire way to get the Bulls/Reinsdorf commited? Back wayyy off they support. Dont attend their games, dont watch them on TV. Dont buy their brand. Hit them where it hurts. Their Pocket.
1.you,and everyone here knows that wont happen....if the bulls have a semi-decent, or even crappy team, they will attract people, and if they back off of support in the hometown you may see lower prices, and opposing fans might look into making some trips
i see it causing more trouble than anything else
2.reinsdorf has already lost millions in value the last few years anyway
3. if the bulls have a giant dip in revenue, then that would hurt the bulls if reinsdorf does take the initiative to really dip into the luxury tax, because a bit of that money is coming from revenue
The Lakers and Heat have multiple championships over the timeframe in question. And while the knicks havent been as succesful, theres definately effort
A. i understand that, my point is that every big market team goes through rough patches...hell golden state and philadelphia are also top 10 markets, and they've been shit for a long while
B. lol@the knicks...effort? more like careless spending in the guise of "effort"
Ive never waivered from my point.
your original premise had to do with the bulls taking a stance, going over the tax, and signing a guy like bynum..but as i and others have explained, this is impossible because the bulls are over the cap
so then you backtracked and basically said "well, i mean, maybe they can sign a guy like him if they get under the cap", which is still highly unlikely
what you realized is that the bulls have to save to spend, do you understand?
I dont want to see the Bulls bring in a key FA at the expense of a core player.
so the bulls are going to shop everyone but rose, boozer, deng, and noah and make a super deal to get a key FA...
brilliant! stupid reinsdorf never thought of that!
That gets us nowhere. For instance, trading James Harden at the expense of Noah solidifies our SG/second scorer, but it hurts our defense, rebounding, and were gonna need another big.
ya, because i totally said it would be a straightforward harden for noah trade
...why the hell would the thunder accept that in the first place?
I dont see how Im complaining, Ive more than made a strong case for how the Bulls can improve and why.
You agree? THEY HAVNT WON A GOD DAMN THING BECAUSE OF THE DECISIONS OF THIS CHEAP MOTHERFUCKN BASEBALL LOVER. THE FACT THAT THEY HAVNT EVEN SNIFFED THE FINALS IS A DIRECT INDICATION THAT EVERY DECISION THEYVE MADE HAS BEEN WRONG. HIM AND HIS BUFFON/HENCHMAN GAR/PAX
Why do you keep saying Jordan wasn't a winner? WTF
that isn't complaining?
you haven't made a "strong case" are you kidding? how can you make a strong case when you dont understand the terms of finance which is the basis of player movement and team planning?
All ive heard from you and posters liike you, is excuses for failure
or facts...buuut virtually the same thing right
i am the one that suggested looking into sign and trades, am i not?
