Dallas falls behind two goals late in the 3rd against San Jose. They're playoff lives quickly going on to life support ...

Anyone see the crazy goal in the Sabres/Leafs game tonight?

Bertuzzi wins it again in the shootout.

If Chicago wins Saturday they can clinch the 5th seed

Seriously...how ugly is this game gonna be tomorrow? I know both the Hawks and Red Wings are not going to intentionally tank the game, but c'mon...Its gonna be an awful game to watch. This has to force the NHL to change their playoff seeding system right?

I don't think it will be a total shit show.

The Red Wings will play and it appears that the Hawks will rest guys. Neither team will shit the bed and it will play out like the meaningless game it is.

As for the NHL changing playoff seeding because of scenarios like this one? No. They wont change it (under this current alignment) because it doesn't need to be changed. The NHL playoffs are really compelling, regardless of teams that fans view as weaker getting home ice. First round matchups are usually exciting regardless of seeding and upsets aren't uncommon.

The playoffs are good. I wouldn't mess with it.

Coyotes surprised me today.

It looks like unless they blow their last game on Saturday against the Wild, they'll win the Pacific and likely play us or Detroit.

I don't mind playing PHX over Nashville even though we struggled against PHX.

We've struggled against all the possible pacific winners. The other option is Nashville. Not looking like a bright first round for the Hawks. Who knows, though.
