I love football, grew up with it, but I think they're legislating the physicality out of it. In ten years, I think I'll probably be a hockey fan first, football fan second.

We can agree on that. Goodell is slowly ruining the NFL. Both sports are heading in opposite directions. Hockey may become my favorite sport in 10 years as well.

It's a great sport. Only sport that is maybe better is football.

People need to give REAL soccer a chance. I am talking about European shit (English Premiere League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, etc), and not that joke of a league that is the MLS. Talk about week in and week out "heart in chest" moments, Chelsea fans (like myself) know all about that this past year.

Is it better than World Cup soccer? I hated that. No real scoring chances. I remember watching a WC match when the announcers were burying a team that was down by a goal with 3 minutes left, and they were right in doing so. They couldn't get the ball back, and had little hope to do so.

Well the entire EPL is pretty close talentwise. Most weekends an underdog can beat a Goliath. But in La Liga and the Bundesliga it is EXTREMELY skewed. You wanna watch high scoring games, watch Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich play. Even when they fact other top European competition (which is a tournament called the Champions League), they still regularly score between 4-6 goals a game (which is really high for soccer matches)

If you're colorblind, how do ya know it wasn't all in black? Hmmmm?

Scrimmage for guys 45 and over, though there's a few younger ringers at times.

I also sign up for a class once or twice a year where for 8 weeks you work on skating, passing, shooting for 30 minutes, and then scrimmage the last 30. It's also coed, which makes it fun.

Still trying to get the rink to install showers. :)

It's supposed to be non-contact, which of course is impossible, and I've had collisions with a couple of the gals. One was hot, but she's married and so am I, so she only gives me hand jobs in the parking lot afterwards. Just kidding'! :elephant:

Yep! don't have any albums - but I should pick some up - listen to him on Pandora.

I've got a station that plays Scaggs, Warren Zevon, Steely Dan, Jackson Browne, etc.

I was a highwayman
Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive

I was a sailor
I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still

I was a dam builder
Across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around
I'll always be around, and around and around and around and around...

I'll fly a starship
Across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again...
