Yeah, I got another Pandora station that plays, Willie, Kris, Waylon, Johnny, Merle, Gram Parsons, etc..

Like the ladies you mentioned, too. You live in the Bay area?

I live in between LA and Santa Barbara. Gram Parsons! <3

Made me think of emerson lake and palmer. I want a station that plays them and the moody blues now!

I was a highwayman
Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive

I was a sailor
I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still

I was a dam builder
Across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around
I'll always be around, and around and around and around and around...

I'll fly a starship
Across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
And I'll be back again, and again and again and again and again...

DAMN RIGHTS

I love this song with all my <3 Wish every one could know its awesomeness.

I love when kristofferson says Mexico

Steve Miller has a house in Friday Harbor, WA.

It's on an Island in the San Juans, near mine, Fidalgo Island.

About an hour by Ferry.

Saw both bands in concert in the late 70s, when I lived in Kansas City.

I go in and out of phases with my favorite verse of the song. Most times I get chills when willie says " the bastards killed me in the spring of '25".
Insanity! It just blows my mind for some reason.

We may have taken this thread off topic, but at least we're not wanting to shag our dead das in the bum.

I was all for them creating a music sub forum but they refused so here we are.
Everybody loves music.. all different kinds of music. It brings people together and makes us happy.
Why would they deprive us of this bond?!
Not cool

If I told you all the bands I've seen, you'd hate me. :)

It's okay to bang a dead dads b-hole as long as you have moody blues on.

Our old site forum Indian Head Nation, IHN, used to have forums for music, film, books, arts (TCD's a painter), politics (which always got quite heated).

After visual arts music is my second life.. My old man was a musician grew up around session players and drunk drummers breaking my toys. Bat shit crazy my old man but he has over 3000 self written songs. Manic depressed musicians can produce like the wind esp when they sound like leonard cohen and gordon lightfoots love child.

Politics is designed to divide us. I used to be a part of that crap but NO MORE. I will not be divided and look down upon people who have different views form me. Instead, I will feel sorry that they have yet to reach that enlightenment.

But music and art are not like that at all.
