This year I'm giving my pocketbook a break and staying in state (California). My oldest is going to be applying for colleges soon and mom wants her to stay in state, so we're gonna tour a bunch of colleges and plan vacation stuff in between. Gonna start up in Napa Valley, then work our way down to San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Big Sur, Santa Barbara, then back home to southern California. Gonna be about a 2 week road trip down the California coast. If anyone has any tips, please share. So what's everyone else doing???

In reality, I just had my summer vacation. It was at the end of May though. Went to Portland.

Beyond that I am just going to Iowa for a wedding for a few days in July, a Lakehouse in Wisconsin in August. Not much beyond that.

Going back to the lake in Wisconsinwe had a cabin on when I was growing up. Parents had to sell it during the divorce. I will buy it back one day. But at any rate, we rented 2 cabins on the lake this summer. I cant wait! Those musky dont stand a chance! Lac Courte O'Reilles here I come....well not til July.

Building 91 feet of privacy fence and an addition to the deck. That's as close to a vacation as I get this year.

Ugh. Thanks for reminding me I have to replace 70 feet of retaining wall, put in a sprinkler system, resod, and put in a new deck. Ugh.

For fun:

Are you gonna blog about it?

You aren't capable of original thought. My blogging prowess isn't worth spending on you, fucktard.

Thanks for the advice. We're going to an all-inclusive, so I think they have free bottled water.

You should be good then. I cant stand not having enough water so when I go to 2nd or 3rd world countries so even if I am not given enough water each day by my crew (often I can barely communicate with them), I bring one of these:

But I have one anyway for camping/hunting/ and field work so cost is not a problem.

Probably not going anywhere this year. Too busy with work. Likely will take a few 3-4 day weekends though around the state. Gulf coast, keys etc.
