Uv light ... I dont trust it or iodine tablets. Regular old bleach in a dropper bottle is what I use. Bleach kills every fucking thing.

Not too sure. No definete plans. My buddies are heading to Nashville this Friday for the CMA awards. I thought about making a last minute trip down there and visit my buddy who lives there. All up for deabate though. I know within the next two weeks my friend up here wants to ride the bikes down to Tennessee- so I may just hold off til then. Other than that, just be on a friends boat every weekend wakeboarding and tubing. Hit up the Michigan dunes a few times on my bike is something I want to get done this summer.

I want to visit Vegas atleast once. My Dad wanted me and him to go out there this month because he has a conference in Colorado, so I was going to fly out to Nevada and he was just going to fly and meet me. But I couldn't find anyone else to tag along. A few friends are already booked with the Nashville trip financially or with work, and some others are now getting married and having kids

Good call. But dont you have to let it sit for a few hours before consuming? I honestly dont know.

I use the UV in situations where I ned water right then and there. Like at restaurants that dont have bottled water or out in the field with lots of mountain hiking. I completely understand your lack of trusting it. Always carry 2 methods of water purification. My company has done a lot of testing with lots of contaminated water sources and compared a bunch of methods. UV actually performed the best (unless the water was murky). I was surprised.

Good luck! I was traveling for work when we signed on our house. My wife had to write her name and then for my name " Mr. AuCN as signed by Mrs AuCN by the power of attorney." on every page!! It was hilarious....for me....until I got home and had to feel the wrath of Mrs AuCN.

Yeah man, if you're young and single, Vegas is a must-do. It has the highest concentration of absolutely drop dead gorgeous women in the world. Everywhere you look, there's a 10 walking by. If you hit up the clubs and swimming pools, it's ridiculous. It's also probably the last place in this country where you can see people walking around in the streets with alcohol in their hands. And you haven't been to a strip club until you've been to one in Vegas.

Umm I have been a SERE (survival evasion resistance evasion) Specialist for 20 years. I have put others through continuation training as well as thier initial SERE Training. Yes I use these skills as well. As an expert I recommend methods that kill (bleach, boiling) unless that isnt possible. Then iodine, or Uv if that is all you have. There are far worse things than giardia or just getting diareha to worry about so I like to kill it all to be sure.

30 mins is recommended but I have waited less time in a pinch, shake or stir well. I would be skeptical of any study that showed a UV pen out performed bleach. But hey, technology is a wonderful thing and there may be more-better thingamabobs out there now.
