Butler is a very very high energy player (not that that's a bad thing at all) who is excellent defensively. These two things make it extremely easy to overlook his shortcomings on the offensive side of the ball. It's deceptive talent, meaning that more times than not, he plays above his skill level. Which is great, but by no means does it make him a top 10 player in the NBA, in anyones world.

It puts them into the play-offs immediately and in a couple of years maybe a championship. They didn't bring Thibs in to not compete. They have a young roster with a lot of talent and want Thibs to take them to the next step. Windows open and they close. The Bulls pretty much were in the same point when Rose up. you like to make up your own arguments. nobody is saying Wiggins is better, but that he has POTENTIAL to be the better player and thats why Wolves would not want to part with him in a deal....its not really some crazy idea to grasp

Butler is better, but Wiggins isnt extremely far behind. He also got better and better as the year wore on. The dude is 21 years old. lol People are absolutely nuts on thinking his potential isnt superstar still and he is already a better than solid player. His D has come on and with that length and his freakish athletic ability. TWolves arent even considering Wiggins.
