Anyone who doesn't want Dragic is an idiot. We aren't getting Dragic are you kidding me? Not only is he vital to Phoenix's success, but Rose for Dragic is more like commensurate value right now. Dragic is that good, and questions about Rose that strong. Gibson for Dragic would be a fleecing.

Then again, are they that concerned they can't sign him? Why would they lose Dragic? They sucked when he was hurt.

Could you please elaborate on this? I know Rose hasn't been playing the most efficient ball lately, but to say Rose and Dragic are almost equal is quite the reach.

Any trade involving Gibson won't be anykind of cash saving business. Come-on. The only way that they trade Gibson is because they are convinced that they can't win with what they have.

If GarPax trade Gibson, you know Thibs is gone following the season since Taj is a Thibs guy which means this would be a **** you move like when Ron Adams was fired.

I didn't buy the hate rhetoric before, but now I do kind of believe that the front office and Thibs are on different wavelengths.

and to make it even more funny we're proposing trading one of our few athletic players for him

we just can't get enough pale skin and bad foot speed on this team

Haven't you realized? We're trying to emulate a 1950's team with all white guys who can't jump.

Dragic is a fan favorite out there. He has played them onto the map, and they are much worse without him. I don't know if anybody noticed he made an athletic move to block Rose in that game. They simply run people out of their gym. He is a far better distance shooter than Rose, and has some serious skills ball handling. Dragic is no joke, and I'd put him in the 10-15 ranking among point guards in the NBA.

Its a pipe dream, no way that happens for Gibson. Get real. Meanwhile, you think Rose is still worth what he was? I am not a Rose hater at all, and I firmly believe nothing we could get in return is worth losing him, for you need a magical unicorn type player to win a championship, Rose is our only hope of that. Once you get those guys, you never let them go if they want to play for you and you pay them whatever they want.

Rose is working his way into shape, imo, I have always exercised patience and I was only slightly annoyed that he sat out the playoffs. I would have gone the other way.

Woj reported that he's heard Taj's name not come up once in all his discussions with league execs. There's absolutely nothing to this rumor at all, which is what I think most of us knew already.

And am I the only one thinking why the hell would Phoenix want Taj? They already have two tweeners playing PF. The Morris twins. Am I right? Taj is a similar player, albeit I will concede a slight upgrade to the better Morris. But they are going to give up their most valuable asset besides maybe Bledsoe for a slight upgrade that costs more?

no.

No I think most people were thinking that. Taj is more talented than the Morris twins, however, in the Suns offense they are vital as stretch 4's. Taj would be a legit upgrade but they would lose that vital spacing the Twins provide with their shooting for Bledsoe & Dragic. And no, Phoenix would not give away a fringe all-star in Dragic for a 6th man heading into his 30's in Taj.

The only name that has ever made sense to me in a Taj trade is Kevin Martin. Their salaries are close, a mill more for Taj. The trade would give Minny another post player & defensive presence down low. It would give us another wing who can spread the defense with shooting and break it down off the dribble. People have forgotten about Kevin Martin because he's in Minnesota. He is still the same highly efficient scorer that he's always been & would be an ideal fit on this team. Only downside is that he could require more than just Taj to get him. It may cost a pick as well.

Can you imagine the rage over Kevin Martin's defense if he were on this team? lol

If any player is shy of being as good as Jordan, there will be something to complain about. Heck, if Jordan played today, this fan base would want to trade him(funny, there was a small group of complainers in the 80s that did just that, and the whole scoring champs don't win ships argument.)

Ah, but will Thibs play him enough minutes? And will Rose give him the ball? THESE ARE THE PRESSING QUESTIONS OF THE FORUM DIDDY1122!

You make it seem like it's obligatory to love Rose? Maybe you should get over the fact that not everyone loves Rose and cease with these Rose hate characterizations. You're using stigmatizing terminology that's meant to stifle honesty. Good job!

I don't see why people are so enamored with keeping Rose. 2011 was the perfect set up for him and the Bulls still didn't win. Why do people think a ball hogging PG is going to yield better results? He's not making other players better. It's also likely this is as good as it gets with Rose and this idea that his trajectory is going up is the magical unicorn.
