Rose contract makes him untradeable
Saying that Rose is on par with Gragic is not honesty. You make it seem like it's obligatory to love Rose? Maybe you should get over the fact that not everyone loves Rose and cease with these Rose hate characterizations. You're using stigmatizing terminology that's meant to stifle honesty. Good job!
No I think most people were thinking that. Taj is more talented than the Morris twins, however, in the Suns offense they are vital as stretch 4's. Taj would be a legit upgrade but they would lose that vital spacing the Twins provide with their shooting for Bledsoe & Dragic. And no, Phoenix would not give away a fringe all-star in Dragic for a 6th man heading into his 30's in Taj.
The only name that has ever made sense to me in a Taj trade is Kevin Martin. Their salaries are close, a mill more for Taj. The trade would give Minny another post player & defensive presence down low. It would give us another wing who can spread the defense with shooting and break it down off the dribble. People have forgotten about Kevin Martin because he's in Minnesota. He is still the same highly efficient scorer that he's always been & would be an ideal fit on this team. Only downside is that he could require more than just Taj to get him. It may cost a pick as well.
There is no Taj Gibson trade rumor out there. .
Chicago Media just asked the question of do the bulls make a move and who would they move ?
gibson and noah name were mentioned as possibilities IF they chose to nake a big trade..
I personally feel this team isnt good enough to win a championship this year and because of age and injuries should consider unloading players like gibson, noah, Dunleavy, heinrich, butler for picks and younger talent at deadline and off season to get younger and build back up ..
I doubt when rose contract expires in 2 yrs they will bring him back...
they need to work on rebuilding this team and move on from rose, Noah, gibson, and butler....
More younger energetic team would also fit thibs mode...
I can't imagine there is a team out there that thinks Taj Gibson is the missing piece to a championship team.
I re read my post.. i dont quite see the word old written anywhere in my post. ..i did mention as they age and injuries.Old players? Who? Their only regularly playing old players are Gasol and Hinrich. They are a lot of things, but old isn't one of them. They need a different blend of talent.
Dragic is a fan favorite out there. He has played them onto the map, and they are much worse without him. I don't know if anybody noticed he made an athletic move to block Rose in that game. They simply run people out of their gym. He is a far better distance shooter than Rose, and has some serious skills ball handling. Dragic is no joke, and I'd put him in the 10-15 ranking among point guards in the NBA.
Its a pipe dream, no way that happens for Gibson. Get real. Meanwhile, you think Rose is still worth what he was? I am not a Rose hater at all, and I firmly believe nothing we could get in return is worth losing him, for you need a magical unicorn type player to win a championship, Rose is our only hope of that. Once you get those guys, you never let them go if they want to play for you and you pay them whatever they want.
Rose is working his way into shape, imo, I have always exercised patience and I was only slightly annoyed that he sat out the playoffs. I would have gone the other way.

Age going into 2015 season
Brooks 31 Rose 27 hinrich 35 butler 26. Dunleavy 35
. Gibson 30. Noah 30 Gasol 35 Nazr 38
I didn't say they were an old team but they are up there in age for basketball as a team
Rose will be 30 when contract expires...
My point was. .. they dont look like they have enough too win it all this year.. why not start shedding some of these guys now and this off season and get younger talent moving forward. .
Hard to rework it with their salary and cap..I'm not a nit-picker so moving on............ I think that this team has a lot of talent but they need to re-work it around a bit. And that doesn't entail shedding anyone in an effort to get younger. They are far from old, they are inefficient.
I don't know about THE missing piece but I believe that the Clippers would be pretty happy to have him and he could make a big difference in their line-up. There are a couple of other Western teams that also would value Gibson if they wanted to win the west.
