Lol, it's over, right guys? Yeah, sure---We'll be right back here talking about #1 draft in two weeks when the Bears lose to the Chiefs and Lions up at Ford Field to be 1-5.

The games after that? Vikings, Chargers, Rams, Broncos, Packers. There might be ONE win in there. Then we're looking at 2-9.

The Bears suck this year. Accept it. And know that the roster is in the middle of getting blown up, and that it will get better next year and the following year.

We are going 7-9 at best. Even if we play well just not enough to beat the teams below.

Guaranteed losses

@KC
@GB
@DET
DEN
@STL
@MIN

The raiders have won 3 road games since the start of the 2012 season.
I am glad the bears won, but you are right- Perspective is certainly needed here.

You think the 2015 Raiders are remotely close to being the 2012 Raiders?? Wow, it is a completely different team!

I do but I also believe in any given Sunday if the coaching is sound. Usually, the 1st pick goes to teams in total disarray and we are not though O line injuries may catch up to us. Not being able to run the middle or allow Jay to step up could make your prophesy sound.

Lions aren't as well coached but have better personnel. It will be interesting.

It may be the homer in me, but if Cutler is healthy, I think the Bears beat the Chiefs

you clearly dont know how to evaluate footwork.
Your eyes must be as bugged out as your avy.

This is laughable (and a tame example)

Wonder why this guy does not look like Michael Flatley everytime he drops back.

or this guy

Yes Peyton does it, but Peyton is not a big armed type of guy, and is successful for other reasons despite his little salsa dances in the pocket.

But hey, a bum slaying, never contending QB, who does not play under center, and only out of the shotgun, is our sure fire savior. If we take him, I predict that he is more likely to be Cade 2.0

So which QB do you like in this draft?
Just curious if you like anyone or are in that group that all college QB's suck and will wash out leading to a future NFL with no QB's.

He sure doesn't look like a 1st day starter but I think he will eventually make the transition. Will he ever be a top 5 QB probably not, but there is a goo chance he develops to a top 12.

Maybe once or twice a decade, a QB comes out of college truly ready to play at the NFL level week 1 of his rookie year. There are no such QBs this draft. And with taking a QB that high, you pretty much have to play them from the get go. The Bears would do better at focusing on the offensive line, and taking a QB a little later to develop over a couple of seasons (unless management feels comfortable that Fales is that guy)

That's actually good footwork. If you think Aaron steps into every throw, you're very mistaken. He jump throws all the time and has even said he does it to protect his knees.

On his throw, but his feet get insanely happy in the pocket while reading the field.

just stop. you dont know wtf youre talking about. goffs footwork is excellent. the typewriter feet are intentional so that he can get set at a seconds notice and deliver from any position. thats the case with manning as well. its again, excellent footwork.

I had doubts after the Cardinals game about how bad this Bears team is.

Now I see that they are professionally coached, playing hard, and improving each week.

I still think there are only 5 wins in this team because of the talent deficiencies, but other teams are crashing and burning around them.

I have actually heard so much good stuff about Goff's footwork that I expect the Bill to trade up to grab this kid. No Way does Rex let these feet get away from him.

Yes and Henry Burris' "typewriter" eyelids were a good thing. Closing his eyes when he threw heightened his other senses, so he could better feel when his man was coming open.

It is not a good thing period. But, I applaud his coaches for covering for him.

His feet are from from optimal on the throw but you can't always set in dynamic situations. It's like complaining about Cutler's feet position on the pick. It wasn't his feet, he had no choice. It was that he didn't compensate for it and looked to guide it. He's got plenty of arm to throw a better ball. Bad throw but I don't blame it on throwing off his back foot when he couldn't step in. I blame it on his head and general arm talent. It's what makes good QBs great ones besides throwing to space when you can't see everything. They have good mechanical foundations but can play beyond them. Keeping your feet moving allows you to have reasonable body positions even when you can't set.

It's not about what typewriter feet actually are-a means of MOVING in the pocket, or sliding in the pocket while taking short quick steps, so that you can be positioned to throw quicker. But when you are in a single spot, and you are trying to stomp out a message in Morse code to China, it is a flaw.

You are right- let me fix it to "the raiders are a team that won zero road games in 2014."
