Hopefully that takes the Broncos out of drafting a QB. But we shall see.

I'll say it again:

Refusing to guarantee Bridgewater the starting job is the best quarterback decision Pace has ever made.

I'd rather have Mitch. Teddy B is basically another check-down Dilfer

One less team to take a QB and a potential trade up partner.

I hope you're right. I just don't know how you take Bridgewater as the starter. I think they're just hedging their bets so they don't have to trade up. I don't think they'd let a QB slide past them, though.

Signed Mike Glennon as the guaranteed starter, drafted MT over Patrick Mahomes and DeSchlong Watson, traded for Nick Foles, repeatedly brought back and protected Tyler Bray over an actual developmental QB, guaranteed AFD the QB1 position. So yeah, the best decision Pace usually makes regarding an acquired QB is the one that he doesn't make.

There's no way they're gonna take a QB with Bridgewater and Lock on their roster. They're gonna fill a different need.

LOL, not sure anyone ever said of Teddy Bridgewater, esp post injury, we've got our franchise QB.

Not sure why this takes them out of selecting a QB. I'd guess they take a CB, but wouldn't be surprised if they take a QB. Hell, I don't know why Carolina wouldn't take a QB.

My read on this is that if Kyle Pitts or Penei Sewell (or somebody else they may be infatuated with but unwilling to trade up for, who knows) falls they want to be able to take a non-quarterback with ninth overall. But if this big run on quarterbacks in the top ten doesn't really materialize, almost certainly meaning Pitts and Sewell are gone, they still didn't make a big enough trade to make taking Trey Lance, Mac Jones or Justin Fields a redundant move.
