Teravainen could be joining the Hawks.

Hope he gets a start Tuesday. Would be nice to see him live. Plus, with Kane out, there isn't an exciting offensive player in the lineup that really dazzles. More meat and potatoes kind of guys.

Maybe not in the way he handles the puck or sets up plays, but Toews and Saad have been known to deke their way through several defenders to score. In fact, I would wager Toews has at least as many highlight real goals as Kane if not more.

Hossa has made plenty of highlight reels in his career, seems like he might getting taken for granted nowadays.

Hossa's ability to take away the puck always gets me, he had a few last night that caused definite movement in my pants.

I definitely don't take him for granted but when it comes to offensive highlights he's not the first Hawk you think. His highlights are more out hustling, out-working, backchecking, forechecking type of highlights and the plays that develop because of it. You just don't see him dangle his way through defenses very often, but you will see him carry a defender on his back for about 2 minutes.

They do have great offensive abilities. Maybe the Preds game fucked with my perception. I just see Kane as more "creative" and a "dazzler", Toews and Saad use more power moves.

Yea, Saad and Toews have very similar skating types. Low center of gravity, hard to knock off their feet, always using their body/free hand to get where they need too. Kane is upright and always seeing the ice, definitely leaves an impression when he just thinking about a player who can wow you.

I have only seen highlights of TT and I believe one camp, I am assuming from all of the talk he is much more like Kane when it comes to skating and approach to the game?

It didn't help in the preds game that not a single skater could attempt a pass and hit the broadside of Oprah.

I get the feeling that last night, not a single addition to the iced roster would have changed the outcome. Of the few guys that did do something notably good (Shaw, Morin), there were just too many guys out there that looked completely discombobulated.

I don't think Kane could have gotten at least 2 goals all by himself.

In his vision, yes. He's definitely more of an assist guy. He does have a higher defensive upside to him. Scotty Bowman and recently a Finnish scout have compared him to Igor Larionov. I never saw Larionov play but Wayne Gretzky called him arguable the best center of the 80s (I assume he was excluding himself). Mind you, he played almost all of the 80s on the Russian national team.

That would be an entertaining line to watch. Saad with his power forward style, Shaw with his grinding and Teuvo with his offensive dynamic. Can't go wrong there.

Oh God that's a wet dream.

Shaw causing a problem in the front of the net while TT sets up Saad from anywhere.

A Sharp-TT-Hossa line would be fucking nasty too. Can you imagine the O-Zone time with that line?

All of this is over the top at this point. People will be expecting way too much right off the bat.
