Kane goes 5 hole on that "spin o rama" it's the highlight reel goal of the year. I think that's as close as he's been with it going in. Man that kid is playing some serious hockey right now.

Definitely!

Crawford bailed out the D on multiple occasions but my GOD was Thomas unreal for some of the saves he made. Some of those I could swear were sure goals on other goalies... that man can play.

No kidding. Right now he looks like he is owning the ice. The amount of space he is getting by being in the center position is incredible, especially since it is harder for other teams to get the second body on or near him (as they have done in the past when he was on wing), without leaving an open man with a good chance to score.

I had the opportunity to chat with him for a few minutes after the game. No question one of my favorite professional athletes. You talk about a humble guy.

Have you had a chance to talk with Carcillo yet? If so... what do you think of his off-ice personality?

I actually talked to him last night for a few minutes. Seems like a pretty nice guy. We had some words as a flyer and he remembered. Pretty funny stuff.

I hope Smith can get back in the line up. Sit Olezs and see if Smith can spark JT's line.

they sat Olesz last night, in favor of clay hands (Stalberg) and John Scott.

what is there to say about last night...My Fiancee is a huge Keith fan, but I had to tell her he picked up right where he left off at the end of last season, playing like shit. I am no longer comfortable with him in his own end, and with the puck. He always plays better with Seabrook. Case and point, in Keith's Norris year, when Seabrook missed some time, it was the only time Keith was a minus player.

Where the **** is Lepisto?

Where the **** is Olesz?

Give these guys a fucking chance!

Stalberg was put on our best line, why? Because he had one good preseason game on a line with Toews and Saad?

Toews is playing like....well like Toews in October. We put up with Toews in October because of the Toews from December - June.

Kane is playing like he's possessed, I love it. Carcillo creating a lot of space, playing great, no PIM, hits everything that moves.

I miss Hossa, I hope it was just a one game thing.

Bickell-Bolland-Frolik....great line. Frolik is doing all the right things out there, even the Boston commentators said "I don't remember him playing with so much muscle when he was in Florida" Sooner or later, he will put the puck in the net...a lot.

Still not comfortable with Kruger on the team...but hopefully he proves me wrong.

Sharp isn't in game shape yet, this is obvious. I hope it doesn't take long though, he even looks lost at times. Brunette looked bad last night too. I would be all for taking him off the first line, and really only giving him PP minutes, when he's most effective.

Good 40 minutes last night though. Thomas won them the game. Not a surprise though, he basically won them the cup.

Crawford - I love the guy. Could be our best goaltender since Belfour

You know I don't think Kruger has had many issues since coming back. I mean who else is going to center the 4th line? Pirri? He's not a 4th line Center. Mayers? He's not a Center. Nor am I sure Kruger is but it appears Kruger is a little more developed IMO.

IMO Kruger has impressed me, especially seeing him play live last night with two anchors on his line. He did everything he could.

There is a reason Kruger is up and Pirri is not. Kruger is the type of player that does the little things to make others productive. Similar to Bolland, therefore he is capable of playing with anyone... Pirri needs the open space his linemates give him in order to create plays and feeds off it. Also, Kruger is much more defensively sound than Pirri, definitely potential of becoming a shutdown C.

Kruger was all over the place last night making plays for the 4th line, unfortunately for him he has no one to play with. If he keeps it up I would not be surprised to see him getting more PP time... they already started by giving him a little taste last night.

I didn't focus on it. Just thought he has not been bad at all.

he hasn't been bad, he hasn't been good. Tough to analyze with 8 minutes a night. I don't want Stalberg anywhere near that second line however. The sooner Hossa comes back, the better.

He's been better than either of our last 4th line Centers. Fraser and or Dowell. So that's an improvement. I'd prefer they dealt Stalberg and let Morin get his legit shot now that he's healthy and playing.

Madden still trumps them all. But that point is moot. Even if you move Stalberg, is there really room for Morin?

Sharp-Toews-Brunette

Carcillo-Kane-Toews

Frolik-Bolland-Brouwer

I'm all for moving Brunette off the first line, but then do you put him on the fourth? As long as number two and three are as awesome as they are, you don't shuffle those lines. Trade Stalberg for prospects/picks (lets be real, it's one or the other, not both) but there isn't even room for Smith on this team right now, unless it's on the 4th line, or there is an injury.

You'd have to find something to do with Brunette.

And brouwer's in Washington.... LOL! I know you meant Bickell.

Move Morin and Brunette back and forth on the 4th line?

Morin-Toews-Sharp

Carcillo-Kane-Hossa

Frolik-Bolland-Bickell

Mayers-Kruger-Brunette

I don't know. All I know is neither Olezs or Stalberg are 1st or 2nd line material.

Could even interchange Brunette and Carcillo. Or scratch Brunette and add Smith.

The depth here is almost problimatic with contracts to Stalberg and Olesz. Which some of the depth is probably better in talent.

Smith, Morin, Klinkhammer, Beach..... I might take ANY of those over Stalberg and or Olezs.

I'm not ready to give up on Stalberg just yet. I thought he looked good in camp, like you could tell he put some time in over summer. Let's let Stalberg play 10 games before we re crucify him. and keen in mind his cap hit is minimal.

I just think we have better talent. I never hated him. And he's 2.5 mil per year.
