yea I don't know what I was thinking. Been that kind of a day. Either way I just think some of our depth players are more talented.

He doesn't belong on the top line though.

I'm not ready to give up on Stalberg just yet. I thought he looked good in camp, like you could tell he put some time in over summer. Let's let Stalberg play 10 games before we re crucify him. and keen in mind his cap hit is minimal.

Olesz had a better camp than Stalberg, Stalberg seemed to only have one good game in the preseason, hell...one good period.

Yeah, No doubt Stalberg is not a top line guy, but Q always rotates the 3d guy on the top lines. So now it is Toews/Sharp, and Kane/Hossa. the 3d guy on those top lines will likely rotate all season, just as in the past, including the playoffs.

and right now you could probably put a couple of corpses out there with Kane at center, and that's going to be our top line.

You'd have to find something to do with Brunette.

And brouwer's in Washington.... LOL! I know you meant Bickell.

Move Morin and Brunette back and forth on the 4th line?

Morin-Toews-Sharp

Carcillo-Kane-Hossa

Frolik-Bolland-Bickell

Mayers-Kruger-Brunette

I don't know. All I know is neither Olezs or Stalberg are 1st or 2nd line material.

Could even interchange Brunette and Carcillo. Or scratch Brunette and add Smith.

The fact that Morin is playing again is great to hear - a goal in each of his first two games is icing on the cake. At some point I hope he gets called up so he can work through his rookie learning curve so he's essentially a vet by playoff time. I'm prettty sure he was a right wing that the Hawks wanted to convert to the left side because Kane and Hossa had the RW spots locked up. Now with Kane at center, Morin can play his natural RW position. I'd also love to see Sharp play with Kane and they have some magic together too. So in about 3 to 4 weeks, send two of Kruger/Smith/Olesz down and being Morin up, then line them up like this:

Brunette-Toews-Morin

Sharp-Kane-Hossa

Bickell-Bolland-Frolik

Stalberg/Carcillo-Kruger/Smith-Mayers/Olesz

Sharp-Kane-Hossa ... would there be a faster elite skill line in the NHL?

IMO with that line-up, Sharp/Kane/Hossa would be the top line and the Brunette/Toews/Morin line would be the #2 line. Just sayin'.

Right now, to me at least, Carcillo stays on the second line until he fucks it up. I love how much space and energy he gives to Kane and Hossa

We gave him 77 games last season. What more do you want?

Exactly, was very unnecessary to bring him back.

When Q likes somebody, he likes them. Plus you have Stan trying to save face for trading Versteeg for someone who has hands of stone. They want to give him all the chances in the world, even if that means giving less ice time to more talented players.
