I didn't contradict anything. Everyone who supports having Scott has said that his role is as an enforcer to prevent people from taking runs at the Hawks. Well, if that is his role, then obviously Grier, whether it was his job or not, obviously wasn't intimidated by the idea of Scott pounding him into Lala land. So basically it comes down to an act of retaliation. All fine and well but if Grier connected, Leddy is out and the damage is done whether Scott beats his ass or not. So in the end, Scott didn't discourage anything.

That begs the question..... do the Hawks sit a more talented guy to dress someone just in case they need someone to retaliate? I say no.
You can thank the refs for not allowing Scott to really engage Grier.

I'm thankful that the Sabres lost so many in a row that they had a closed door meeting about actually playing hockey as opposed to "who is going to atone" for the Hammer hit.

Everything was all gravy and I'm happy about that....

... now the Blues game tomorrow is another story, I hope John Scott earns his stripes there...

Do you ever get the feeling that everytime there's a questionable goal and the refs have to go Toronto for a review that it will almost go against the Hawks? I don't know the statistics on it but it certainly feels we just cant' win one of these reviews very often.

Usually they're really good about getting the call right when it goes to Toronto. But the fact that last night's call wasn't reviewable is what had everyone shook. Thank God the Hawks still won.

Colin Campbell made it very clear to the Sabres organization that any monkey business Saturday night would not be tolerated and if any took place the ramifications would have been worse than what Hjalphabet incurred.
I like that. I love the player, hate his name. This is funny.

They were horrible. Go watch the goal. Kozari called it good, which it was and Peel who was 75ft away waived it off. One of the worst calls I've seen in a long time and Kozari let him. Fucking tell that guy to grow some balls.

I couldn't stand the growth or whatever the hell was on Tim Peel's face every time he made a terrible call.

Why I say good teams win in spite of the tedious interference from the officials.

Speaking of which, anyone know what high-grade pharmeceuticals Peel was adsorping rectally Saturday night?
