Stalberg stroked the Stache to get more time

Stalberg had an awesome shootout attempt though!

Carcillo has been one of the better Hawks on the ice thus far... **** Q for fucking that up, idiot.

I disagree, that 4th line was crazy the minute he put Carcillo there. He's a 4th line player with fringe on the top lines from time to time.

Mayers-Carcillo play very well with each other.

Laru your head is up your ass, tripping on Seabs no call and clear holding on Kane near the end. Listen to No Check Laru, hands on stick? dumb ****.

I gotta admit having no penalties on us is kinda strange though!

Agree Avs are a better team than most give them credit for. They get slammed because everyone looks at their record last year. A record which was completely blurred by how badly beat up their roster was mid season. They do indded have some great young talent and some of their vets still have game. Guess when you look at their blueline on paper it`s one that you think teams wouldn`t have a hard time against. And I do think their blueline is their biggest concern. Varlamov has been playing very very well for them which had helped.

I am over the shoot out loss. I look at is as we still only have one loss so far in regulation. Hawks record to start the season is outstanding. I don`t want to jinx anything but the team could get out of October with that one single regulation loss. I think Tuesday against the Ducks will be a hell of a game and a tough one as they always are. Win that one and it could get us through the following games against the Canes, Jackets...then an always tough challenge against the Preds to close out October.

Here is hoping for that because it would be freaking outstanding to go the month with only one loss in regulation.

Just by looking at the stats this season the Avs look strong. I just wonder how long they can keep up this pace.

They have not lost a regulation game since game #1. Sorry I just can't be unhappy about that. Down 3-1 tonight and still a chance to win the game? Against a team that was 5-0 on the road and clearly plays well away from home?

10pts out of possible 14pts. I'll take it.

Still wish Q would put #2 with #7 and #4-#8. Does the tying goal tonight open his eyes? it should.

Also not sure about #88-#19-#81-#10 to start the PP in OT? WTF Q? Booming shot from the point? Where? There was none.

I'd say until they aren't healthy because past what we see there is Nill in depth.

If they stay healthy they will fight for a bottom playoff spot IMO.

He didn't get an assist, but we don't get that turnover that led to our first (Frolick) goal without Carcillo's forechecking.

Carcillo has been excellent. No question what so ever. He is versitile, can play all lines at times. He keeps his head clear and he'll be better for that role than burrish by a mile.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
How Landeskog wasn't one of the stars of the game is beyond me.

The that makes that decision is a ********.

I am also just mad because of the CanuckséFlorida trade..so I am over reacting to everything.

PMS?

I hate when a coach chooses to go first in the shoot out. Much rather go first.

Either way, the shootout just sucks.

4-1-2 isn't a bad record, but in all honesty we should be 6-1

The two shootout losses were games we should have won in regulation.

I agree but thats going to happen all year with all teams. Team will lose games they should win, just as they will win games they should have lost. Honestly this was 3-1 near the end of the 2nd period so some would say they were lucky to get a point. They didn't really pour it on until the 3rd.

Boston they were out played. IMO lucky to get a point. First Dallas game they were out played, and lost but were close to at least getting a point. So technically theres 2 L's with no points right there.

Shoulda, coulda, woulda... as RK said 10/14 points.

Interesting they "should" get better in the defensive zone as typically most good teams take awhile to get going defensively at the start of the year. D needs to play A LOT to get comfortable IMO. GA's will go down.

And shootouts are bullshit!

Still doesn't excuse 0/6 on shootout attempts.

Eh, it's skill competition. And the two goalies they were facing were Thomas and Varlamov, whom both played those games lights out. And the sole reason the Hawks didn't win them in regulation.

It's a joke and a horrible way to finish a good hockey game.

The main argument for putting shootouts into the NHL was so teams would stop "playing for the tie" right? What a dumb excuse... and I'd rather watch real hockey than a skills comp.

It's like ending a tied baseball game with a home run derby or a basketball game with a 3 point contest... grr shootouts make me pissed.

Completely agree. As do I think a lot of true fans.

Even if the Hawks were 100% I'd feel that way.
